FA-06 real world reviews!!
The FA-06/08 is just a XP-50/60/80 with simple sampler and some other functions thrown in for good measure it has the integra engine but seems very weak in the sound department. Sure we can make the sounds big and fat with layers and such, but it seems the Roland guys lagged on this model and didnt ...

Re: FA Editor
CC's that are useful are usually 01 (modulation) 07 (volume) 64 (hold) 91 (reverb) 93 (chorus). I also use 94 (celeste) & 02 (breath) as alternate controllers for misc. stuff. When controlling from a "master" board these function are used to control these parameters. If you get into sy...

Re: Why did you buy an FA 6 ?

I read just now where your limited in splitting in the the studio sets, wrong!!!!! U have ultimate splitting capabilities ...

GM Reset
Ok here's a question. I wanna exchange my sequences with other boards. I did the GM thing, GM reset at beginning of sequence, all cc's & pc's in place for all channel's, all sounds are correct, but when I go to play the file it won't select the right sounds out of the GM2 banks!!! ughhh, For exa...

Re: Data request help
@ Royce yes ur correct this is one method, and would work, but not efficient. @ Andy ok here goes. Well wut I wound up doing is i sampled the beat that i wanted, then assigned it to my patch in one tone, allowing me to place it anywhere in my keybed, i use the other 3 tones to build my patch, i take...

Re: Data request help
Hi Andy Sure i can record , but what I'm really after is a "live play" scene where u record ur beginning, then after the splash, ur loop kicks in until.....cuz this way ur "locked" in the beginning but free after that to do as you want, becuz its looped, but I want it automated s...

Re: Data request help
Hi guys @ Andy thats the same thing I thought, but the Rhythm Pattern Switch is just the switch (lite) not the preview button (F6) like I thought, so in effect Royce is correct there is no sysex message, that we no of from the from panel. But this raises this question? Why can the pads select it the...

Re: Data request help
Hi vcraven well I feel this it is there cuz the pad is already doing exactly what im after, so in theory in order for the pad to trigger the rhythm start/stop it has to have a sysex message to trigger it. if you press rhythm button, select rhythm pattern, and press pad 1 the rhythm start playing and...

Data request help
Hi All, Ok I wanted to try to track down this elusive rhythm (preview) start/stop sysex string, so I'm wondering is there a way to get to it from the data request string as Art has from his files in the library? I mean i tried the data transfer method but its not working cuz I'm missing something, s...
