Re: V Synth Sounds
Hi Gerald, I went to check the site. I can see it, but the link to the demo won't play - it says unrecognised format. I am on Mac OSX with Media Player installed. Thanks

preview before import
<t>According to the manual, you should be able to preview a patch before you import it, from the preset menu, or a card project. This would be obviously very useful. But although I can see the preview button (bottom left of the screen) it is always greyed out. Anybody else got it working on the XT?<...

Using midi controllers
<t>Hello all,<br/> <br/> I have been using a Korg Kontrol keyboard and have set up the sliders and the joystick to transmit on controllers 16-19, 48-51, and 80-83. Rest assured you can get some great sound mangling this way, and record your movements. However, there is one drawback. On a typical rhy...

Re: noisy outputs with usb
That's interesting - does it mean a fault with the XT,or is it just a few of us? Should I take it back and check out another one, or learn to live with it (bit of a pain, always unplugging the USB)?

noisy outputs with usb
Hi there,
I find that the main outputs are very noisy when the USB cable is plugged into the XT from my Dual 2.0 G5. Soon as I unplug it is fine. The question is whether this is peculiar to my system (some sort of f ground loop issue) or have others found this? thanks

<r>Cromio,<br/> <br/> Guess what? I would love the V1 sounds, but why don't you upload it to this site and save yourself the hassle of mailing it to everyone? In any case if you can send it I am at:<br/> <br/> <EMAIL email="itsyourself@hotmail.com">itsyourself@hotmail.com</EMAIL><br/> <br/> I will o...
patches
<t>Hi,<br/> <br/> new XT owner here. I read that version 1.0 had a different set of patches, more synthy. Are they available? Also the patches here - on the Roland website it says most of them are for version1.xx only. So will they load into version 2 or not? I haven't dared overwrite the presets ye...

Re: Arp - Sorry a bit more clarfication needed
Yes, I just got an XT and couldn't get the arp to work. When I went in the midi connection it was fine. Doesn't seem to work in USB midi for some reason. Bit annoying, since I wanted to keep the V Synth on USB and use the midi interface for other synths. Maybe they'll fix it?
