Re: In-Track Sampling
Importing SMF's works great. There is even an extract function that will split up the midi channels nicely, if it is a type 0 file. After that you can do whatever you want with it. Switch the sounds. Edit events, filter events, add samples...

Re: I need help with Sequencing
Since i have the FS i hardly use Logic for sequencing anymore. The cool thing is that without the big computer display it forces you to listen to your music instead of looking at it. The Neptunes still do all their sequencing on a Korg 01/W. I would not call them underpaid.

Re: I need help with Sequencing
<t>In the pattern mode you create a pattern that can be triggered in song mode. This means that you tell the sequencer wich patterns to play.<br/> <br/> I suggest you just hit "Record", then make the setting: Loop/Punch "LOOP (4 MEAS)".<br/> <br/> Make sure you are in performance mode. Press the big...

Re: Problem: Importing MIDI Files
<t>Until today i was using the USB connection to import the files. Re: MPC4000 vs. MV8000 vs. DAW
As far as i understand the MV8000 does not really offer 8 channels of recording in the classical sense. The audio has to be loaded into ram to be played back.

<t>The strongest point (towards the Fantom S) for me was the sound.<br/> <br/> I originally wanted to buy the Motif ES, but the more i listened to it the more i realized that it had not the sound i was looking for. Re: Fantomizing guitar
<t>I agree with you on the quality of the effects. I only have my Fantom for a week now, but the effects really blew me right away. I always liked the Roland guitar effects on synths. Daft Punk anyone? And i prefer them over Logic's effects. Very musical, very useable, very pleasing, very easy - jus...

<r>It is for Logic 6 and (obviously) OS9 & OSX only. With your connection the streaming will take to long, sorry. I don't know if the DVD's are worth the money to you. I was happy with the streaming video for 25$. But it is a very good course, i would say. <br/> <br/> Here is another one: <URL u...
