Re: V synth XT memory structure
if you boot the v-synth while holding the exit button, the OS loads but no project is loaded. this creates a blank project.

Re: confused about v-synth
<t>As a previous owner of the triton extreme, i advise going with something else. if you already have a fantom, you don't really need another sequencer and in my opinion the sounds on the triton are very cold and thin. i think a better combination would be the fantom, v-synth, and a DSI evolver or v...

Re: Controlling the V's Volume While using optical out
don't have mine in front of me, so i might be wrong. hit the menu key, then open the system settings from the touch screen. i think it's in the i/o page.

Re: KORG OASYS not all that.
<t>i have to agree with you province. i had a triton extreme for 2 years. i just sold it. i couldn't stand the thin, dull sounds it makes. i tried for two years to get 1 warm, bright tone out of it and couldn't. not even the "tube" on the extreme could help the lifeless sounds. it does have nice ele...

Re: What should the VC-3 be?
<t>fs1r, that's what a compact flash card is for. i've got 18 different projects on mine(512mbyte), with plenty of room for more. you can use up to 2 gigs i think. samples are loaded into ram, so a vc3 card with "more user memory" won't get you larger project sizes, with more of your own samples. un...

Re: v-synth, my questions...
<t>1. yes, you can restore everything including factory waves, by using the factory restore function, in the main menu.<br/> 2. you need a pcmcia card adapter ($15) and a compact flash card ( i recommend 512 megs or larger).<br/> 3.the menu key is located to the lower right of the touch screen. righ...

Re: monitor suggestion
<t>the bass response is simply amazing. i know i'm not gonna need a sub. i can hear all sorts of weird things going on in my older mixes. these are the first speakers that i have ever had "speak" to me. i've worked on HR-824's, it's been a while and i don't have them to do an a/b comparison, but i d...

monitor suggestion
<t>last night, after a very quick impulsive decision, i sold my triton extreme 61. good riddance. after two years of using the triton, i really really wish i had got a fantom. tritons sound like crap and the effects are just horrible. worst workstation ever. anyway, i got a pair of Event ASP6's. the...

Re: What should the VC-3 be?
<t>i am really hoping for vst support in the future. similar to the sh-201 or like the access virus ti is "supposed" to work. i would kill to have multiple instances of the v-synth as plugins, that could be controlled with the v-synth's hardware. more than anything i am hoping for something that wil...

Re: optical output/input trouble... Hugo??
<t>i've been using the optical out into my digi 001. i will never go back to using the analog outs for recording. it's SOOO clean when you record through optical. i don't know about cubase, but in pro tools i had to change my clock from internal to spdif(optical), but i also had to change the optica...
