Re: Jupiter 80 as midi interface?
Not sure how to attach a picture. If this doesn't come through take a look at the integra-7 owner's manual page 45. I can't find the similar page in the JP80 manual, but I'm pretty sure it works the same way. Note that it can be set to re-transmit the USB-midi over midi OR transmit internal JP80 mid...

Re: I hate the JP80 Organs so ...
I had the same idea except running the organ through the spinny half of a motion sound kbr3. I was extremely disappointed to discover that I could only change the routing globally. There is no capability to route to the alternate output within a registration. I love this instrument but some of the d...

Re: Broken or No Aftertouch?
Aftertouch is used pretty sparingly in the factory presets. I believe at one point I tried what devnor did and was also not getting expected result, though I didn't spend a lot of time on it. Try some of the SN violins, you should hear subtle vibrato added with aftertouch.

Re: ReAssign Aftertouch to MOD wheel?
This sort of thing would normally be a function of your controller, not the sound module. Your controller normally sends CC1 messages from the mod wheel. If you can change that to CC74 in the controller, it should do what you want. I am not an integra owner (yet), but I'm pretty sure that there is n...

Re: Summer NAMM 2013
Just a statement of fact about NAMM because someone asked and I was there. Not meant as a complaint about Roland. As I said in an earlier post, summer NAMM is about guitars (And ukeleles!). Can't really blame Roland for skipping it if they are on a budget. I quite like my J80 as well! If I could rou...

Re: Summer NAMM 2013
Summer namm is all about guitars. Roland brought zero keyboards last year. But they're not the only ones. It's just not been much of a show for keys. Maybe more in the new convention center. I'll find out tomorrow.

Re: Strum Mode
I'm using a jupiter 80, not an integra, so maybe there is a difference. On the J80 if you turn on strum mode in the menu it definitely works with no additional CC. If you send the CC you can see the strum mode change in the menu. They are equivalent things. You can do one or the other but you don't ...

Re: Amplification important?
very well put, anotherscott. I was using mackie 1531s. Sounded great but too big to carry around. Recently picked up a motion sound kbr3d. Good at practice. At its first gig I had to try and get the volume up. Outdoors with just stage volume. The KBR3d held up pretty good with organ, synth, flute, e...

soft thru
Is anyone aware of a midi soft thru capability? That is, where the midi in gets merged with the midi out. I've been searching through menus and manuals and can't seem to find it. I'm talking "real" midi, not USB.

Re: Integra 7 Thonwheel Organs control via midi
I have a Jupiter 80 and a VK-8M. The clean sound is very nearly the same to my ear. The leslie sim is also very close. However, when I try to dial in a more distorted sound, especially into Jon Lord territory, the VK seems far superior. Just my opinion, of course. There's a lot of options for variou...

Re: Jupiter 80 with vst's (audio interface)
Sadly, my experience was quite bad. The Jupiter played audio over the USB port just fine, but the Jupiter itself was messed up pretty bad. It was most noticeable with brass patches. Do some quick stabs and the attacks were all over the place. But it wasn't just those patches. This had nothing to do ...

Re: usb midi strangeness
I had to punt on this plan for now. Problem one is that the J80 ignores keyboard split and octave settings for incoming midi notes. With local control off and notes looped back in through midi-ox, it plays all the notes everywhere in their original octaves and the result is a mess. There is a work a...

Re: usb midi strangeness
Hi scottrod, When running with local control on, midi-ox was set to filter out pretty much everything except the aftertouch mapped to whatever on the same channel(s) that aftertouch came in on. I really thought I had something set up wrong on the pc side until I discovered that mapping aftertouch to...
