Need help adjusting my X6 sounds for new band (Psychedelic S
<t>Hi, I've been asked to help out some guys with some synth work on my X6. Their music is very much in the vein of Ozric Tentacles / Hawkwind but my patches don't bear any relation to this ! Can I make any particular adjustments or is my X6 just not designed for this sort of music ? <br/> thanks fo...

Kind of off topic advice please !
<t>Hi, I've been asked to work on a piece that is outside of what I normally do and I need a bit of advice as to where to go with it. I need to create (find / locate) a particular drum sound. It is used during the soundtrack to Blade Trinity in some parts and I can only describe it as sounding like ...

Re: More "song full" hell . . .
<t>Fantastic idea, I'll give it a go. Interestingly this has forced me to work with the Fantom sequencer a lot more then I have in the year that I've owned it. It really is a good a bit of kit and very usable - but I can still work quicker and do more detailed work in Sonar !<br/> Thanks for everybo...

Re: More "song full" hell . . .
<t>Hi again, I've checked the OS and I am running on 2.0 so I can upgrade to 2.1. It definately seems to be somthing to do with the audio tracks. I can easily save other songs as SMF 0 and 1 but no songs with an audio track will save, even if the audio track is unloaded / deleted. Can anyone think o...

<t>Hi Artemio - I tried that one as well, as far as you know is there a problem saving a file that has had ausio samples attached at some point via audio tracks - even if they are not loaded in ?<br/> <br/> thanks<br/> <br/> PS I will check the OS later as well just in case but it does save some fio...

Re: More "song full" hell . . .
<t>Thanks guys for the advice so far, I am getting a bit closer. The fantom will save the song as an SVQ file so I not losing anything but I just can't save as a midi file to export. Unfortunately the X6 and computer are a long way apart and I can't connect direct. I tried the same thing with anothe...

Re: More "song full" hell . . .
Hi, I did already try that, it will happily read MID files from Sonar, it will also happily save songs to the card as SVQ extensions, just not MIDI files. It's driving me crazy !
Any other ideas ?

Industrial Mayhem anyone ?
<t>Hi I know how excellent my X6 sounds are for dance / techno type music - but I don't write that ! I was wondering if anyone else out there was using their Fantom for Industrial type stuff like Nine Inch Nails, Front 242 or Mortiis ? If they are then I'd be interested in swapping some hints and ti...

Stutter on Wav import
<t>Hi I've been importing samples like crazy on my new X6 and loving every minute of it. The other day I noticed a vocal film sample sounded strange but didn't think too much of it. Last night I imported the boy from Sixth Sense saying I want to tell you my secret now, and in the song it stuttered a...

Re: Midi channel advice
Hi, I was thinking more along the lines of using 1 midi channel for all the internal sounds and then transmit data externally using the other 15 channels. Am I right in thinking that all the channels on the sequencer can use 1 midi channel ?
Thanks

Midi channel advice
<t>I used to use a Yamaha RM1x as a sequenecer and run 16 channels of midi out into my Korg M1, a sampler, drum module etc. Now I am using my X6 as a sequencer I am wondering just how many external midi channels I can use. Is it possible to write 16 tracks of X6 on one midi channel and still transmi...
