Re: Back from NAMM!
<t>Hi Jim,<br/> Quick question. How deep will the GTs MIDI Master Control capabilities be? <br/> Love for it to be able to have a controller mode so I can fully drive my rack with it, as well as being able to store setups.<br/> <br/> ----------------------------------------------<br/> Roland Fantom ...

Re: A new V-synth keyboard at NAMM!!!!!!!!
<t>The deciding factor for me is whether it has proper Multimbral Functions. <br/> <br/> The V-Synth has such a great layout and so many control features, that its a damned tragedy that it can't be used as a full MIDI Master Controller.<br/> <br/> ----------------------------------------------<br/> ...

Re: A new V-synth keyboard at NAMM!!!!!!!!
I am almost now tempted to throw my V-Synth on ebay so I can sell it before the new one is fully announced so I can get the most bang for my buck.

Speaking of the XV-88, doesn't it have the same keybed as the Fantom X8?

Re: The Next Fantom (Roland) Workstation?
<t>Actually to really sum it up I would like to see Roland jump back into the Controller Market. With a layout similar to the V-Synth, but with the 16 drum pads, and the option of 76 or 88 keys. Unfortunately it seems they gave up on doing Professional Controllers years ago. <br/> <br/> Too bad the ...

Re: The Next Fantom (Roland) Workstation?
<t>I actually hate using the Software Editor. Found editing onboard to be faster and the interface very intuitive. I always find it funny when people compare the FX to the Motif and Triton and say the FX is harder to use, when I find it harder to wrap my head around the Triton or Motif. <br/> <br/> ...

Re: which srx you recommend
<t>I have both SRX-07 Ultimate Keys and SRX-11 Complete Piano. As mentioned earlier they aren't even in the same league. <br/> Though the SRX-07 has plenty of other cool patches and waveforms to make it worthwhile to get. I love the Memory Moog strings and Solina patches.<br/> <br/> ----------------...

The Next Fantom (Roland) Workstation?
<t>So I was doing a little daydreaming today about the next Roland Workstation (Whatever it may be, or even if its coming anytime soon) and I was curious as to what some other Fantom Users would like to see in Rolands next big Flagship Workstation? <br/> <br/> I was thinking of something along the l...

Re: Hooking V-synth with YAMAHA EX5
<t>I have a EX5 linked up with my X8 at the moment. Great machine, but as mentioned its a bitch to program. It's controller functions are fantastic though, and I slave my Nord and JP8000 to it.<br/> <br/> ----------------------------------------------<br/> Roland Fantom X8<br/> Yamaha EX-5<br/> Rola...

Re: JP-8000 And Roland Super Chorus
<t>It never really crossed my mind to use the X8 as an Effects Processor. I knew it could be done, just never thought about it. Gave it a try and I was pleased with the results. Thanks for the suggestion.<br/> <br/> My only complaint is the limited number of effects blocks the X8 has, which causes a...

JP-8000 And Roland Super Chorus
<t>I just picked up a cheap JP-8000 and really dig the Chorus effects and EQ. I really want to be able to use a similar chorus on my Nord Lead 3, so does anyone know if Roland/Boss has any rackmount effects processors with similar effects (As well as reverbs, and additional effects) as those on the ...
