Re: Fantom vs Software Synths

<t>I think one thing people underestimate when comparing hardware with software is the flow when working with it. I've used a lot of software before I started to buy hardware and I never got near the expressiveness of HW with SW. HW is way more nicer to work with, faster and it's easier to be a way ...

Re: Which SRX Boards Do You Use...

Had SRX04, thought it was crappy and sent it back..

Used SRX05 for a while, but it really didnt have much more than a few usable patches.

SRX09 I still have and I love it. The flutes, plucked instruments and horns are better than any on Fantom, Motif ES or Triton..

Re: Future Fantom

1. Three million patches.

No other improvements necessary.

Couple of questions about the rack-version..

<r>Since I'm not a keyboardist but merely a programmer I'm thinking about switching my X6 to a XR. It would also clear up some needed space from my small apartment..<br/> <br/> But:<br/> 1. Is is difficult to write arpeggios with the rack version?<br/> 2. If I'll switch to a rack-version, I would co...

Re: Juno-G vs. Fusion (Both @ $1000)

The Fusion demosongs sound pretty horrible.. Don't know what music you like to do, but for rap, r-n-b and stuff like that Alesis products have exactly nothing to offer.

Re: srx-05

I wouldn't buy the SRX05 for the drums.. They lack.. Umm.. Character!!

The drums in the Fantom itself are much better so judge by that.

Leads are nice though.

Re: SRX boards...

I would describe SRX04 as horrible. Flat and dull sounds. Not a single patch I could use for rap music.

Thanks!

Where can I download the manual? Found one link, but it was dead.

How about the arpeggiator?

I can't find any info; is it fully programmable like the one on X or does it just have a few variables to switch?

Re: Sound quality on srx-boards?

Yes I'm gonna return it for my money back.

300 euros for it seems to be too much :)

Luckily I didn't buy a cheaper one from eBay, would've made getting the money back more difficult.

<t>Just got the Symphonique Strings the other day and was very excited about it..<br/> <br/> But was I dissapointed.. It's unbeleivable how awful the sound is, comparing to the original string-patches on my Fantom X.<br/> <br/> Is there a quick tip on how to actually get them sound atleast decent?<b...
