midi connections
Hi guys, This maybe a no-brainer for you, but i can't seem to figure this out. I have several items that i want to connect to my fantom by midi. The first thing is my v-synth xt. This is working fine. But i also have a Roland td-9 and a Voicelive rack. I want to use the td9 to perform the drumparts ...

Re: ARX-01 Installation problems with 1.5 update
Hi chuck, I don't understand exactely what the problem is you are talking about, but maybe this helps: I just installed a new (second) ARX card, booted up and the card installed. After installation i had to turn the fantom off. Then i turned it on again, and it asked if i wanted to install the card ...

Re: Namm new products - nothing for the FG !
<t>I agree with the most here. <br/> It is a shame the fantom g didn't get an upgrade. As i stated in another post: i bought a server this summer (at a fraction of the costs of a Fantom) and they bring out updates once or twice a month. I understand that producing an update for something like the Fa...

Re: Editing Vocals
<t>Hi, <br/> <br/> There are a lot of ways to do this. I find the best and easiest way for me is, when you have a music track from your Fantom, to record it in a daw like Pro Tools or something like that. Then have the vocal recorded in another track in that daw. I record mine trough a decent pre-am...

<r>Hi there, <br/> <br/> Just to give my 2 cents. <br/> I am a roland fan, but only for their hardware, not the software. By that i mean the numerously discussed software updates. <br/> I have been playing keys for almost 20 years now, and for the first fourteen years i always played yamaha, with so...

Re: Good active monitors for FG
I am very happy with my two KRK 5 monitors. I use them with the fantom G, but also for final mixing on the computer. The results are very good.

Question: how can a man with two Fantom-G's be unhappy?
Because he only got 2 hands and realise that a third would be useless.....

Re: How to make a video recording audio directly to PC?
<t>one option:<br/> <br/> Not exactly realtime, but gives a good result:<br/> Make your movie, while you record your piece in the fantom. Then, export your fantom g sound and your video in your pc.<br/> Then use a videoedit program like premiere or so, and sync your fantom g recording with the sound...

Re: Open Letter (Dan, Art, Roland et al...)
<r>Great letter. I agree also. I consider myself a amateur musician, just for fun, but i try to use the gear as professional as possible. I owned a fantom x, now a G. Besides that i have a v-synth xt and a G-70 arranger. All from Roland.<br/> One of the main reasons, besides the good products, is th...

<t>Hi there,<br/> <br/> What a great effort, thank you!<br/> Only i can't seem to get it loaded in the fg. I have enough memory installed and so on, but when i import the project, it stops at 99%. Re: updated RAM amount to 1GB (512,32)
<t>I can imagine some of the things that are said. But i hope that Roland is looking after it's buyers and continue to work for some time to work on free upgrades. Like said on many threads: the G was released when it was not really ready to be 'born'. The pioneers like us (i sold my x at once and b...

Re: Which USB drives/ 1GB RAM DIMMs work with the Fantom G?
I also use a 8 gb usb stick. Didnt work before the recent os update, but now works really fast. The brand is dana-elec. I hooked up my v-synth xt and sampled some trough digital in.
