Consistent Performance Volume

Greetings! While I've sequenced on various boards for years, playing live in a band is a new thing for me. The trouble I'm running into is that I typically use 3 or 4 different patches via a performace setting for each song, and the volume levels are varrying widely. Not so much from patch to patch ...

Re: KC series or something else?

<r>I agree that the Fantom sounds much better in stereo, so thinking about getting two amps. Just wondering:<br/> <br/> A) What is so special about the "Stereo Link" capabilities of the Sumo line? What makes it different from buying, say, two roland KC series amps? I'm assuming I'm just going to run...

Re: Samples, pads and saved perfomrances

yeah, I remember that message. I see it everytime I try to save the stinking performance. :-) Not exactly helpful.

Got it working. Thanks!

Samples, pads and saved perfomrances

<t>Greetings!<br/> <br/> I just can not figure this out. I've read on this board that it can be done, but I'm obviously missing something. I want to save the pad assignments as part of a performace on my X7.<br/> <br/> I've been loading samples into memory, then in performance mode assigning them to...

Using Fantom to control Ensoniq

Greetings,

Trying to get performaces in my X7 to change patches selected on my Ensoniq TS12 via midi. I have no earthly idea where to begin, and neither manual is helpful (status? 2nd byte? 3rd byte? ummm...) Any advise or links to instructions in English would be appreciated!

Re: Insert effects

My guess is that if you apply FXs to a patch, you'll lose those FXs when you use the patch in a sequence as there's only 3 FX generators on the Fantom. Right?

Re: Need Help Recording Vocals

just has a pointer to the sample recorded in the track space Thats a great way to phrase it. Had a bit of a problem with that myself, but after I got the hang of it, I think its a pretty good system. It really works well for duping repeated vocals and for my favorite pastime, slicing and dicing vol...

SRUT, take a listen to some of the tunes folks have posted on the site (http://forum.fantomized.info/?action=show_all&fid=14). You might be able to get an idea of what to expect.

Re: changing tempo changes patch sound??

<r>Yes, that makes sense. The idea is that the FXs built into the patches (like the delay you mentioned) should slave to the click track. This is hugely cool for live situations where tempo will vary (at least with our drummer <E>:-)</E> and you can be reasonably accurate by taping every now and aga...

Re: Need Help Recording Vocals

<t>I'm not at my Fantom (sigh) but this is the gist:<br/> <br/> In song mode (press the song button) you should see a red tab labeled Audio Tracks. F2 I believe. Press that button.<br/> <br/> Record your audio tracks here using the same process as recording a sequenced track. After you puch out, the...

Re: When making a CD... Is it better to do THIS or THAT?

I do not have a CD deck with a line in as you do. So, I resample just to create a wav file of the song, both sequenced and audio tracks so I can save the wav to the PC card, and transfer it to my PC for burning to CD. What I found was the resample wav is recorded at a very low volume. I think this i...
