Re: Fantom X6 Fatal error, no program in Rom

It may say 'ROM' on the error message but it's flash ROM which can be and is written to and reloaded during an OS update for example.

Re: Fantom X6 Fatal error, no program in Rom

It sounds like the firmware is corrupt or incomplete - did this happen after an update? I think the unit is saying that it can't find an operating system in the ROM from where it is loaded.

Re: Newbie question: how can you tell what real instruments

Tine refers to a particular design of electric piano tone generator, but it's not brand specific. It has a very distinctive sound.

Re: Juno G How are the Synth sounds???

<t>It has a huge range of synth sounds, especially analogue synths and classic digital synths. Most of them are classic 'real' synth sounds, rather than just 'synth pads' like you might find on a lot of workstations. For example there are waveforms from lots of classic synths, strings from the vario...

Re: MORE JUNO-G BUGS ON VIDEO!

<t>The 'bug' is real, I tested it on mine and it's really odd. I played PR-F35 'Syn strings' and used the hold pedel to systain the sound. I can move the cutoff and it operates smoothly. However if i set the sutoff to a certai point with the knob, wait a few seconds and then turn the knob the cutoff...

<t>I agree, the sunth sounds on the Juno are very good indeed. Re: New to the forum: Very Frustrated, Fantom Xa - Patches?

You need to change the wave number, there are loads of sampled waveforms and each has a number. You really need to find this in the manual and understand it in order to get much further.

Re: MORE JUNO-G BUGS ON VIDEO!

I have a Juno G and it's an amazingly capable machine, a few badly programmed presets (the cause i think) are a small price to pay.

Re: Details on the upcoming Planet V update

Forgive my ignorance but how does one update the intrument wit the new waveforms? Are you creating an SRX unit, or a CD of samples and associated patches? will it work on the Juno?

Cheers! Scott.

Re: Juno G and sampled drumkits

<r>A Multisample is where you have for example a seperate sample for each octave of a piano. You take a sample, spread it across the keyboard but because the tone changes so much you use a number of samples, each one covering part of the keyboard.<br/> <br/> **JUNO-G**<br/> <URL url="http://www.scot...
