Thanks Art. I got the keyboard working nicely as a MIDI Controller however the 16 pads is working as well but differently... when assigning the pads Midi notes the Fantom seems to be 1 octive higher...example I must assign the Fantom pad C3 for it to respond as C2.

Can the Fantom X8 be used like a MIDI Keyboard Controller to play Virtual Instrument programs I use in Pro Tools?

Or must I purchase a seperate MIDI Keyboard Controller?

nah, that approach is not what i want to do...i know the method u are talking about...anyone else out there using the Fantom and Pro Tools hooked up via Midi...come on fellas...

Yes, creating a custom rhythm patch was an option I was considering...I just thought there might be other ways. Thanks for your suggestion.

I have SRX05 - Supreme Dance and love it but alot of the percussion sounds are SO LOW in VOLUME...Anyway to permanently raise the volume for each key? Like for instance C3 on a particular rythym patch may be loud enough and then D4 sound is faint as hell....No consistency...Any suggestions?
