adjusting levels
In some converters, you can adjust the input levels to match your equipment. You might want to ask about that or if you've already bought, check your manual. If you have any questions, you can contact me at

Re: robert moog, dead at 71
<t>Bob Moog was a good friend of mine who I had the privilege of working with in 1969 and the early seventies and again in the mid eighties. He is a kind and gentle guy who loved to drive an old car with snails painted on it. <br/> <br/> In 1970, I worked with Bob introducing the Mini Moog D to the ...

<t>Having been a moderator myself on an internet religious forum where flaming originated... I can tell you that if they want to nip at your heels, it's better to address it with kindness than not to address it at all. I saw so many nice people leave because of the relentless barking which continued...

<r>There is an article on my site about how to listen to converters. Don't pay any attention to specs they're all within a dB or two of the same thing. I use an Apogee Rosetta 800 and at 44.1 it has much better sound than my RME converters do. But at 96K the gap narrows a bit since anti aliasing isn...

In response to your specific questions... its not an issue anymore ...read "IT'S OVER" on my site which explains the limited scope of the issue. The HC deletion was intentional and perhaps you should ask them what they did with it. I think we now need to mend fences here and put this aside...

I would love to have a totally free open forum like it was for the past eight years. Until last Sunday night, people could post on my site without filling anything out... something unheard of on the internet. For eight years, there was not a single complaint, not one unhappy customer, not one intrud...

editing posts
Actually those "other" forums do edit threads. The whole last half of my session there got deleted... especially the part about the administrators part in a programming error in the Kurzweil 1000. I think this site is unique and I'm quite confident that it will remain so. William williamco...

Re: A different view on piano sounds
Actually, the veil in front of the instruments with an audience making a judgement on the instruments has a sequel. In the thirties when Lawrenz Hammond introduced the A, pipe organ companies sued him because he used the word "organ" in his ads. The viability of the suit depended on the me...

Gentlemen... Artemio has mentioned this to me as well, ...other than the two closed threads on pianos can you tell me where you have noticed this behavior?

This has as much to do with the ethereal aspects of artistry and communication as it does with the pursuit of excellence vs emphasis on paying cash dividends. The fact that for an artist, a piano is a highly personal extension of their being, means my primary interest is not in making money; it's in...

I'm working on the Motif version of the Hamburg D right now. It should be ready in a few days. Email me if you like and I can give a progress report and let you know how its coming along... and most of all, how it sounds in the Motif.
