Could it be the "audio key" button? If it's activated, you get no sounds on the lower octave (the keys are used to play samples). Hope it helps.

Actually, there's virtually nothing more than the RD and the XS in my studio But yes, they complement very well each other, though.

I really would like to see a rack version of the Fantom G with 4 ARX slots AND at least 2 (better if 4) SRX slots. I wonder why Roland hasn't released the Fantom GR yet, after so much time since the keyboard versions. Until then, I'll keep my fully expanded Fantom XR and my RD-700GX.
