Re: 2.1 (or 2.5, or 3.0) Update Wish List!
Realtime mixing using the knobs, like the Fantom X/G. It was unbelievably useful for live play.

Re: Expression Pedal Woes
I'll second that on the Moog pedal. Solid piece of kit, very smooth, and the cord is detachable. Very happy with it.

Re: EXP 12 - EXP 16, what do you wish?
For me, electric guitars and drum kits are the weakest links in the FA's repertoire. (I'll share my home-grown ones at some point.) I'd like to see some focus here. Beyond that- there's enough classic keys/pianos that any more would be redundant. More modern "radio friendly" sounds would b...

Re: I love the FA-07!
Did you deliberately go with the slimmer bag for a tighter fit? Is a tighter fit better in general? I'm thinking the straps in the roomier bag would hold it tight, and also have room to store some extra stuff inside, like the power cord and whatever, and the external pocket looks to be a little big...

Re: I love the FA-07!
While I don't know that I'd buy a FA-7 to replace a FA-6, the action is probably the best non-fully-weighted for piano I've used in this price range, and a step up from the 6. Mileage will vary based on your playing style, of course.stevel wrote:Do the SN-A Pianos react any better with the action on the 07?

Re: Studio Part edits not working
This is strange, not sure why. Frustrating. No, it's not. How would the Studio Set otherwise "know" which parts should be played? By turning the KBD switch on/off the FA "knows"! If you always play only one sound in a SS, it is not a problem. I get where he's coming from. Prior ...

Volume to Sound Modify Knobs?
So I bit the bullet and grabbed a FA-07 to replace a Fantom X7. There's a lot to like about it, and a few disappointments. About 90% of my play is live, with layers. The Fantom had the ability to modify the volume of the first 4 parts using the parameter knobs in "mixer mode". Is there a w...

Re: Still a good buy?
Sadly, I'm going to have to replace the Fantom. It's doing random odd sound glitches at the worst possible times. I've grown accustomed to the Roland way of things, but I have fond memories of a Yamaha Triton too. Crazy question: Can Fantom patches be converted over? I have a few homemade "The ...

Re: Still a good buy?
So I'm in the process of replacing an aging Fantom X that's getting wonky. I only play live using layers&splits. Prefer non-weighted. Don't really use sequencing and such. Can't make up my mind between this, MOXF, a Krome, or something cheaper with decent polyphony.

You have no idea how much hair pulling you saved me. I was trying to install my Fantom-X on a Win 8 laptop with no luck, then I stumbled across this.
THANK YOU!

<t>I use mine predominately in a live setting with a 5 man band, all by itself. I use the performance mode 80% of the time. I do a *lot* of layering- the mixer mode allows this to be seamless and pain-free.

Radon_22

"The brain is a wonderful organ. It starts working the moment ...
