Re: frustrated with midi and usb???

"I went into the USB settings and made sure they were on storage"

You mean that you made sure it was in 'MIDI' mode...didn't you? Because of course it would have to be in MIDI mode not STORAGE for it to be used as a MIDI output.

Re: How to put in midi in the Fantom X (rewrite)

<r>If I may?<br/> <br/> In performance mode you want to record preset number 13, you then save it as an SVQ. file. But you would like to change it to MIDI. But then you go into Patch mode and select Ultimate grand, then go to song list and load your song, and you hear piano as the sound, NOT preset ...

Re: Fantom vs. RD700 SX

Just to be smart sambasevam, ;)

X8 + SRX = AUD $5535
RD700SX = AUD $3695

If Piano was my concern, i would go with the 700SX, but like I (and you) said sambasevam, there's SOOO much more the Fantom can do!

Re: Fantom vs. RD700 SX

<r>sambasevam; Just about your SRX-11 comment.<br/> <br/> I was under the impression that the RD700SX has the SRX-11 sounds inbuilt as it's default Piano? So what your saying is to get the best piano, buy the X and add the SRX-11 board? Wouldn't he be better off (financially) to get the RD700SX?<br/...

Re: win 98 and F/X

Reading page 218 of the manual, the only thing not supported is storage mode. Having said that, MIDI mode should work fine, you just need the drivers.

For more info on drivers see here.
