FA-08 as a 16 channel controller

I currently own a Fantom G8 and I use it along with NI Komplete 9 Ultimate as a controller. I am thinking about selling my G8 in exchange for a FA-08. I like the new sequencer, smaller design and Integra sounds. However, is it possible to control 16 channels simultaneously like you can in the G8 Liv...

BTW sorry to derail the thread a little with that everyone.
Great!
Not a problem, we are glad that you were able to make it work.

Re: Pushing the I7 to the limit!

I use Pad Mode 10) MIDI TX SW to choose which channels are transmitted to my Integra-7. C24kgold may be doing the same. I have it to where my fantom does not transmit any Program Change Data. All that is controlled from the computer system (which we are using Sonar to send patches). The computer se...

SparkyCanada
I would suggest the Motu.
It is very stable for running a lot of signals through it and it is programmable.

Re: Pushing the I7 to the limit!

Are you using SN Patches, SRX or a Mix of the two? I use a mixture of both. For example, for our strings I use the SN Strings Sect. as a base over the whole span of the keyboard. I then mix in, at a slightly lower volume, the SN Cello that spans the lower half of the keyboard. I then mix in, at a m...

Re: Pushing the I7 to the limit!

Could you tell me how I can save live sets on the fantom to load straight to the 16 channels I have set for the integra? Mine always loads to internal sounds, and I have to scroll down to the external channels. I have each of the parts in the intergra set to the corresponding channel. Part 1 = Chan...

Yes the Motu is what I use.

Pushing the I7 to the limit!

I just wanted to find out how far some had pushed the limits of the I7. For example, we have a fairly large band which has 3 keyboardists. We also have a percussionist with an Octapad and Axiom 25. We also have a guitarist with a 2 octave keyboard for small parts. (Flutes, French Horns...) There are...

Re: Integra 7 Brass Sounds

I have tried using a very short delay (and it helps), but it still seems to be missing the fullness. With the Strings Section (which I realize that it is SN) you can hear multiple sounds that make it up and it adds depth. The brass section is supposed to be made up of multiple parts, but it still so...

Re: Integra 7 Brass Sounds

Have you tried the ExSN5 expansion? No sections though, but still. Yes, and they are very similar to the SN Solo Horns that are already on the main bank. I love most of the individual solo horns (The trombone and Bari Sax could have more body), but I haven't found a good Brass Section to use for th...

Integra 7 Brass Sounds

I have owned an Integra since Oct '12 and so far I have been extremely happy with all of their sounds (especially the strings) except the Brass and Sax sounds straight out of the box. I am currently using the PCM sounds "Brass Sect" or "Royale" depending on what I am needing, but...

Musitron or Clavioline???

Has anyone come across a sound in the I7 that is close to a Musitron or Clavioline???
It was an old synthesized organ.

It was the sound that was used on the instrumental of Runaway.

Any suggestions would be great!

Re: Integra 7 SN Polyphony Issue

The guitar has only 6 voice polyphony, and no guitarist ever complained about the lack of polyphony. Yes, but if you strum a 6 note chord into the I7, you have already used 48 voices of your 128 polyphony. We're down to 80. A basic drum rhythm of Hi-hat, Snare & Kick is made up of 24 voices, 8 ...

Integra 7 SN Polyphony Issue

Does anyone know how many voices that they supernatural sounds use? I contacted Roland, but the fellow didn't know. He could only tell me that the SN sounds use a different technology than the PCM sounds, so it didn't really use voices as such. I'm having some issues with layering supernatural sound...

by howardS: Would the remote iPad app help you,c24kgold? You could give your sound person the mixer screen. I know, it is a little cumbersome but that could work. I have an ipad ordered that I'm going to use if I have to make adjustments on the fly. What we decided to do is to go ahead and send our...
