Re: mc707 1.81 - bug report:SEL + push C4 knob triggers CLIP menu

I can appreciate your efforts to report these bugs but I'm not sure Roland staff are monitoring these forums at all. You should report them to Roland directly if you want them to be noticed.

Re: HELP! How you change from synth to drum machine, or reve

Hi,

You just press up on the cursor until the whole column is selected and choose delete. This will allow you to pick an new mode.

It's all in the manual too.

Re: Multifunctional ?

Here is the Midi chart.. The unit does not even record the sliders movements internally as of now, they are used for live manipulation i think it does actually... with motion rec? Hi I wish it would... motion recording only works for the three dials above the sliders but not the sliders. Hopefully ...

Re: Multifunctional ?

Here is the Midi chart.. https://static.roland.com/assets/media/pdf/MC-707_MIDIImpleChart_eng01_W.pdf I don't think the MC-707 was designed to be used as a multi functional Groovebox controller/ sound module (the chart above shows clear limits). You can use it as a sound engine/module to some extent...

Re: Display quality

Hi, OLED displays have bad burn-in issues for static content so it would take less then a year to see the screen burn-in for an always on screen full of static objects. Hi-Res IPS displays would require a dedicated graphics engine and memory plus it would take more CPU overhead. Where low res LCD ar...

Re: Display quality

TR8S and TR8 are drum machines with sampling, and a sequencer optimized for drums... MC-707 is a GrooveBox because it can do melodies and drums and it's sequencer is more general purpose... They complement each other but one does not replace the other. I'm lucky to own both. Both the MC-707 and TR8S...

Re: Display quality

The screen is fine but it's just a generic matrix LCD display with contrast adjust. So extreme angles will fade the view of the screen... it's not like that is anything new, LCDs have always been like that. It's not really a problem if you angle the MC-707 so you look directly at it and not at an an...

Re: Roland MC 707 Irritating Limitations

Hi, I was a bit disappointed also about the lack of an traditional arpeggiator but the step input recording method is working well for me as a workaround. Then you can forward, reverse, ping pong etc using the clip settings. Page 28 of the reference manual Automatically Advancing the Step During Inp...

Re: TR8S Drum Kits And Samples For MC 707

Yes the MC-707 has some samples from the vintage drum machines but there is no Circuit modeling so the TR8S does sound a lot better then samples do, and makes a great companion to the MC-707. The TR8S still excels at what it does and the sequencer is better suited for drums overall.

Is my TR8S tap/drum pad defective?

Hello all, I'm looking for some input from other TR8S owners... I have managed to get my hands on one TR8S and I'm absolutely loving it but I have possible issues with my Drum/Tap Pad sensitivity. Finger drumming on the center of it does almost nothing. I need to firmly press it with a lot more forc...

Wow I love the TB-3!

I could not be more happy with this purchase... Really love the pattern copy to quickly make and chain together your patterns. The midi implementation is enough if you use the TB-3 by design. I use it as is, synced and mapped to my DAW and other synths and it fits in well. The analog 303 sound is co...

Re: Tb3 , No tune , No glide , Fixed at 96khz , BAD DESIGN

I love the TB-3... I'm using just the 1/4" analog connections, it's trying to sound analog so analog connections fit it and have very low noise if your doing them correctly. If your using ASIO4ALL well then you don't even have a real audio interface so the 96Khz is the least of your concerns. A...

Re: Fantom G6 Os X Mavericks Usb Driver doesn't exist!

Windows 8.1 does have FG drivers... anyway the old ones will work you just need to turn off driver signing to install them... I'm sure there is a way to do this with Mac OS too in the future if Roland drops support... most of the time the drivers remain the same its just the signatures that need upd...
