Re: No librarian?
Another important detail, Roland didn't provide the midi implementation for the OS V2, and according to the midi implementation of the Jupiter50 (which was released in version 2), there are some différences.
I'm not sure if with the 2 midi implementation it's possible to guess the JP80 V2.

Re: No librarian?
Information Inside the JP80/50 are splited in many kinds of different structures working together and located in different places. It's a kind of Rubiks Cube.Dewdman42 wrote:yes, but someone will have to reverse engineer the file format.

Re: Jupiter 80 Discontinued?
I do understand the demand for a Librarian.....but updates? I think the version 2 update is a nice update, but I can't understand why people buy an instrument for the things it maybe can do in the future. I can think of nice features in a possible update, but I bought the JP-80 for the things it ca...

Re: OFFICIAL Librarian Request Thread
Yes I need a Librarian for Jupiter80. Something to deal with what tone is used in what liveset/registration, and to manage double tones/livesets, because when we import a registration for example, we mostly import livesets and tones existing yet Inside the memory, and it wastes space. We Need the li...

Re: No librarian?
Yes, thanks, but in the Midi implementation document seemed clear too.
Only strategic addresses are missing.

Re: No librarian?
I don't think Roland has a preference for Apple products, nor a deal with Apple for exclusivity. I don't see what either party would get out of such an arrangement. Roland's market (instruments) is not big enough (nor profitable enough) for Apple. And Apple's market (computing devices) is not big e...

Re: No librarian?
I don't know what addresses you would use, but the way to do it would be to first try to read the full range of memory addresses you are considering and dump all the results into a big file. If you find any data anywhere outside the temporary area, then change one of the presets on the JP-80, save ...

Re: No librarian?
It’s always something and everything is a conspiracy. Perhaps these “codes” are hidden to keep you from damaging your keyboard even possibly bricking the instrument. yes you are right, everything are cleaned from Roland, I bought a synth 3000€, I can't manage sounds properly, Roland develop only fo...

Re: No librarian?
Dewdman42, what you say is logic, but I red the midi implementation of the integra7. It's the same problem, nothing more is documented to write in memory, but anyway they say they are developping a librarian for Integra7 only for Apple computers. So, it means the code to write inside memory exists, ...

Re: No librarian?
ostrovitch,... If Roland doesnt care about customers who purchased what they created in the past, then why should we care about what Roland produces in the future? Customer service, loyalty are what makes a company continue to stay in business. Roland's reputation is only as good as its customer se...

Re: No librarian?
Maybe if we can add all JP-80 owners in this forum to that request/manifest, maybe Roland will take a close look to it... Just wondering Why not? But I'm afraid in Roland's mind they gave the JP80 up yet. 1 Year before I wrote to them on Roland CE site about the librarian, I even didn't receive any...

Re: No librarian?
On the Facebook Jp-80 page, someone's just posted a response from Roland UK about the librarian... Just to let you know I am preparing a report for Japan to prove that a librarian is essential for the Jupiter 80/50. All our planet staff are onto it and if you can send me an official email requestin...

Re: No librarian?
what is missing to you in order to write a librarian? with the bankselect I think I could bring a registration in the temporary area, then I could update the temporary area (these infos are provided). But if I want to store the sound in memory, I didn't find any code to say I want to write the temp...

Re: No librarian?
the midi documentation for the JP80 has everything you need to know to write a librarian. its just a matter of taking the time to do it. In the midi documentation, I only found everything I need to write an editor (unuseful of course), but not a librarian...Or I need to change my glasses, or you ha...
