Re: I/O
I'm not trying to confuse you in any way, just wanted to say that the TRS doesn't mean Balanced all the time. Well, confusion on this issue seems reasonable, because the reason I posted was that I had looked up the definition, and seemed to get "balanced' and also 'unbalanced', hence the origi...

Re: I hope a 61-key version is on the horizon
Hi Mystic38! My post was a deliberate rambling piece of tenously connected idiocy.. Hopefully to bring a smile and the reference to "Verbiage for Dummies" was certainly a clue... :) Yes. I understood that it was just lighthearted humor hence my.. @Mystic38..lol..nice try but it still needs...

Re: I hope a 61-key version is on the horizon
@Mystic38..lol..nice try but it still needs a lot of work! :-D I have debated against masters of rhetoric (not talking about you) and those who do their best to find any minuscule hole in logic, they play with words and intentions and cause all kinds of confusion, if you do not start your argument w...

Re: I hope a 61-key version is on the horizon
the wording is deceptive . That type of suggestive speech is commonly used by competitors over the internet theses days and aimed at potential consumers in an attempt to instill an unsubstantiated concern for a given products popularity as well as the potential duration of the products relevance ( ...

Re: I hope a 61-key version is on the horizon
I thought there might be line to follow as well but the JP80 is already struggling with a price increase ahead. Hi DJRAZZ, Welcome to Roland Clan! The possibility that it’s just an empty rumor designed to instill doubt is certainly plausible, It’s much to early for such scenarios, the Jupiter-80 ha...

Re: I/O
I'm assuming unbalanced audio (1/4") and no digital I/O. Would that be correct? Thanks. Hi Melodialworks, welcome to Roland Clan! There is digital out as well as USB audio and 1/4-inch phone type etc. The following is a list of the Jupiter-80’s connection possibilities.... Connectors PHONES ja...

Re: File management
No! Actually, I'm not sure! I just finished talking with my friend Adrian Marsi, who is the Pro Keyboards Product Specialist for Roland Corporation here in Canada. At this point, the back-up function is the only option. However, he has already "fed back some comments about user back up options...

Re: File management
Wow, What an answer... You almost lost me! Lol Summarizing... For me, if they do the Librarian for file and Tone/Live Set/Registration manipulation it would be awesome! And more than logical. If they decide to do both the Librarian and Editor (or an Editor/Librarian) That would be just superb!! ;-D...

Re: File management
I don’t disagree regarding the Jupiter-80’s front panel. However, Roland normally makes both a librarian and editor, the editor is good for times when one wishes to trigger sounds from a computer program (for example) and has a need or desire to edit a synth in a different way, with the synth’s sou...

Re: File management
It was late at night but IIRC it took almost 2 minutes to restore from the USB backup. Load time can be influenced by the type of USB card one has, so load times can vary from user to user, at least that’s how things usually work. I agree that Roland will most likely make a computer editor for the ...
