Re: Fantom 07 Sequencer
If Roland will update the 0 series with a competent full sequencer like Fantoms and FA had it, I will join your brigade of owners. I'm occasionally checking is it happening or not.

Re: FA06 Sample pads as a seperate instrument
I had Akai MPX-8, and that thing is a most incompetent peace of gear I ever had. It will produce some noisy scratches by itself at the end of the sample when you play it. Or it will by itself produce a double signal with delay of its own. Nothing helped, although I fully followed the procedure and u...

Very unfortunately, YASE is not anymore offered for sale. I contacted Nexoe and this is what they told me. So, there is no way to buy it.

MC-307, what sound characteristic it has?
I am close to buying one MC-307, but I am holding it for a reason; namely, whatever I heard on youtube, shows me that this little machine is full of aggressive sound be it solo or pad, or effects. I am in the mellow Jarre-type sounds. Does it have those types of sounds as well? Cause I did not hear ...

EXP 12 - EXP 16, what do you wish?
Provided that there will be more EXP's for our FA's, what would you wish for? My pick is Jean-Michele Jarre collection . I find that these kind of sounds ultimately miss from the FA. Some other choices include EXP completely dedicated to: high quality choir sounds, vocal phrases and solo's (some on ...

Re: Wind (FX) sound - how to get a good one?
Thank you both for ideas.
I do not have anymore my old boards, a real shame that I sold them. I already tried some online wav files, but never found anything so clean and sublime like that patch.

Wind (FX) sound - how to get a good one?
I was very sad to realize that my FA-06 has no acceptable wind sound, not even on the SRX cards. On the old SR-JV80 "Vintage Synth" card, there was one excellent, sublime, low pitch, no overblown sound:
243 (D73) Deep Wind
Is there some solution to get that sound to my FA-06?

SR-JV80 patches have no insert effect in use?
The practical question is: do the patches from SR-JV80 expansion boards sound the same in JV-880 as in JV-1080 in performance mode, disregarding the DAC's? More practically, do they use any insert effect at all? Which would make them sound the same in patch mode as much as in performance mode.

Re: FA-06/08 effects setup
That is both brilliant, and awful. Brilliant because it used to be so frustrating trying to fit a large bunch of patches into a performance with only 3 MFX slots. I used to dream of the day when there'd be a dedicated FX engine for every part. So, that's great. But it's also awful because some soun...

Does the effect section gets copied from prg to multi?
So the situation is this: you are setting up the multi, using 16 channels for sequencing, and you are stacking the sounds, applying them each to a different midi channel. The question is: does the MFX effect gets copied too with every sound (part) to the multi setup, or you have to manually adjust i...

Re: JD-990 Display
I think that in 5-7 years there will be no functional displays commonly shared by JD-880, XP-80, XV-5080, MC-80 (among others), because they are not available new, as a spare, or as serviced. I made an exhaustive research, and even came to the part number (from XP-80 service manual), which is: 15029...

Re: Wonder if Roland has a new Fantom-G coming out
Fantom G is the only top level workstation that can transfer part to the performance without loosing the effect and other parameters. Also, it has the most ample provision of Sample RAM. Others are not there yet, not even with their flagships after the Fantom G.
