The Lucina sounds are pretty much what they are, you can tweak them a bit but you can't load in new ones.
You can use the midi out from the lucina to drive a separate sound module. Cheap module would be? I don't know, Roland JV 1080 maybe. Dig around on flea bay.

Re: I modulated too hard... :(
I dropped my Lucina (actually the strap came off and it fell) and the impact broke the mod bar on that in the same way. I expect they are very similar based on your description. This is where mine broke (the bar should be connected to the two posts screwed to the circuit board): http://branchonmaybe...

Re: Rd 700 NX : Note Stealing Effect
had to laugh at the arrogance of that comment about it not being able to process all the keyboard data when playing a backing file. A $200 PC playing soft synths via midi can do better than this. From a major manufacturer I think this sort of attitude it ridiculous. By the way I have a Yamaha s70xs ...

Prices?
Looking to maybe buy a 700 gx but I see prices all over the map from the mid 1700's to 2600's. What's going on, why the big spread? Is a $1700 gx the same as a $2600 gx or am I missing something?

<t>I'm right up there with you, I think it's a great fun instrument. <br/> I am still learning the whole pitch bend thing though to get that guitar bend effect. I have the bend set up to just bend by two semi tones so if I play in the next key down for the notes I want to bend and hold the top of th...

<t>Well, after exchanging emails with every Roland exec who's email I could get to work their customer support manager contacted me. Re: Recommendation for Wireless Audio/Guitar system for AX?
From what I've read the battery cover on the G30 can be problematic and that the G50 is a better option as it is all metal.

<t>I believe that you can only save any changes to the 12 user assignable button locations, 6 on the A button, 6 on the B button). You cannot change the original supplied sounds other than by saving them to those 12 user assignable buttons. <br/> So the most 'custom' sounds that you can have is 12.<...

Re: Lucina experience
Update. Just took it apart and it's broken. The mod bar is attached to the circuit board by to blocks that screw to the board. The thin plastic connection forms a hinge. The hinge has completely broken allowing the mod bad to just rattle loosely. Really off putting when playing although it actually ...

<r>Me, I'm an old(er) guy. I just mess about with my music, jam a little with some other old guys. Never gonna be famous. <br/> <br/> I play keys and lugging a keyboard around is a pain so I decided I needed to get me a keytar. As much as I'd like an ax-synth I cannot justify the cost so when I saw ...
