Re: What Pedal?
You need a latching pedal, opposed to a momentary pedal ( sustain ), however the standard sustain pedal will work, you just have to keep your foot on it for as long as you want the effect speed changed.
Just set it up in the control paramaters of the rotary effect page.

Re: SRX-11 Question and a Polyphony problem!!
<t>but is it not the case with piano sounds that each note is using only 1 of the 4 tones depending on how hard you hit it. I know there may be some crossfading at certain velocities but that would only use 2 tones.<br/> <br/> Or is it because the patch has 4 tones switched on, it makes no differenc...

Re: Ever have one of those days?
Haha fabulous, throw in an acoustic piano too and that's what I'm talking about. I'm with you on the Pianet, I had one for a while and just couldn't work out what to do with it, I really wanted to like it , but sadly I had to let it go... heavy wee thing it was too.

Re: Ever have one of those days?
<t>I hear you but I just don't feel that way about digital clones. Don't get me wrong, that is what I use for live. And going to see a gig with an Electro or whatever I'm always surprised at how good it sounds. But sit me down with one and I just don't connect or get inspired like I do with the real...

Re: Ever have one of those days?
I never get inspired by these things, I see them as tools that to me will always be a compromise from a 'real' instrument that lives and breathes.....
If Guitar Center had a couple of pianos, rhodes, clavs, wurlies etc, I know where I'd be sitting....

Backup all data not saving Multisamples! Help!
<t>Right, I'm off to the US next week with my XR and thought I'd better take a backup of all my data on the Smartmedia card. <br/> I went to Utility, selected 'Backup User Data' , then sent to sampling and selected ' Save all samples'. However, when I boot up now, all the samples load, but they dont...

Call roland spares in your country, they will have the board you need, and you can probably fit it yourself if you're handy at these things, won't be too difficult.

Re: -- fill RAM how slow ? --
<t>yes this is a common problem with samplers, I remember the akai z8 review in sound on sound complaining about the time it takes to fill the ram and that is direct from its internal hard disk. My XR currently has about 70mb which takes 3 minutes to load. If you're doing festivals or similar where ...
