Re: How do you turn off metronome & Layer/Split issues

<t>I love the demo you posted. I think the Fantom X oboe is the best there is! <br/> My layer issue is: <br/> Can you have different velocity and after-touch settings for different sounds in the same layer set-up? <br/> What I am trying to achieve is a layered piano and strings set-up where the pian...

Re: I'VE GOT TO VENT. I HOPE YOU'RE READY....CONSIDER YOURS

Your Gallery shows you playing an X6, not a G6.
Your comment about the 16 voices in layer mode refers to the X, you can only have 8 in the G live mode.

So what have you really got?

Re: PK-5 vs PK-5A

<t>I have a PK-7 and have a similar question about the 7A. Looking through the manuals the only difference I can find is that it is much easier to change the midi channel with the A. My PK-7 transmits on midi channel 2 and it is a pain to change it. You have to hold down the bottom C note and the ho...

Re: Kurzweil PC3LE6

<t>You are right of course. Prices I am seeing for the VR-700 are ~£1500 and it weighs in at 16kg/35 lbs so it is no lightweight but if it saves the extra keyboard... and I love real drawbars. <br/> The Kurz KB3 emulation is very good organ-wise and is of course a proper synth as well. On the PC3 fa...

Re: Newbie needs advise: Roland Juno G, Korg M50 or Yanaha

<t>I am not sure this helps but if you want a workstation, then for me the Juno-G is the one you want with its extra polyphony and audio tracks. <br/> For live playing I would lean towards the M-50 particularly if you need to change sounds a lot. One finger touch of the LCD screen is a lot easier th...

Re: Kurzweil PC3LE6

<t>My current live line-up is a fully loaded Fantom X7 with 4 x SRX boards, a VP-550, a Korg Triton Extreme 76 and a Kurzweil PC88 for piano gigs. I am trying to convince myself to replace my Triton with a Fantom G7. The patch remain that Kurz keyboards has had for years is hugely important for live...
