I'm interested

<t>Hi all,<br/> <br/> I think it would be a great idea to have a 'techniques' section, which could including playing styles/ piano technique and other techniques for music production. I know detracts from the 'Fantom' aspect of fantomized, but it could be very helpful for a lot of users.<br/> <br/> ...

I'm glad I'm not the only one

<t>I always thought that I was the only one with this problem. Ultra-Super-Mega writers block with a large serving of frustration. :0)<br/> <br/> It seems most of the time I'm writing ideas, loops, patterns, etc which lead to no where, or somewhere completely different (ie, when half through your so...

Re: Monitor Volume + Keyboard Volume?

<t>There is, but I wouldn't say its easy. <br/> <br/> You basically need to know the voltage of the output signal from the fantom mulitplied by gain of the amplifier. This is what you should see at the outputs of the amplifier (but you wont because of induced noise). If you subtraced this expected v...

Re: Fruityloops and my Xa

<t>Well yes and no,<br/> <br/> It can be a step recorder, but it also can be more like a DAW and is increasley becoming more like full production software, similar to Cubase/Logic, with every new release. <br/> <br/> It's a pretty cool program and is definately worth a look. The price is right to. A...

Re: Fruityloops and my Xa

<t>FL is good. Its actually great. <br/> <br/> I find it almost annoying how easy it is to make music that sounds relatively good with it. You can jump in there and just make music. This is why alot of people think its bad... it makes making music excessively easy. Its a trap though, I found that so...

Re: Fruityloops and my Xa

<r>What exactly cant you get to work? <br/> <br/> I havent used fruity loops for a while, and I haven't used it with a fantom either (I've got an X not an XA anyway), but I have used it with other midi gear, such as drum machines and sound modules.<br/> <br/> Make sure you have enable midi outputs t...

Re: RPS BUG! (Major problem)

<t>Hi all,<br/> <br/> Has anyone looked at the actual recorded midi data? Its possible that you are not actually recording midi notes, but rather the pattern calls, which is most likely how they implemented the RPS. This is probably so that if you change your pattern the recorded rps changes to matc...

Re: A good mixer

<t>Thanks for the reply GregC,<br/> <br/> I've heard Mackies are good but tend to be on the more expensive side, but I its worth it if its the only way you can get quality. I got the behringer because thats all I could afford at the time, but I have more cash these days so I might invest in a new mi...

A good mixer

<t>Hi all,<br/> <br/> I currently own a Behringer UB1832FX Pro Eurorack and have nothing but troubles with it. Basically, I'll be playing away and the entire left master output will cut out, no signal, nothing, nada. If I crank the input signal high it will crackle back into life. I have had this ex...

Re: Memory got screwed!!

Hi plasmis,

Nope just the fantom X as master. The loop back from the D2 MIDI OUT to the Fantom's MIDI IN was not even connected.

Little bit a bass.... Little bit a bounce

Memory got screwed!!

<t>Hi guys,<br/> <br/> Just a word of warning to you all about saving songs / performances on your fantom while its attached to another midi device as a master (ie the other device is connected on the MIDI OUT). <br/> <br/> I had a roland D2 (I cool little drum machine) connected to my fantom X so t...

Have you looked at the Arp Sync

<t>Hey all,<br/> <br/> I dont know if this is related but you may have the arp sync on (under the system menu -> sync/temp or something like that. I'm at work so I cant look) and the pattern sync on (not too sure where that one is. it might be under shift + pattern) . These options cause the arp/rhy...

Re: 8 track Audio users(anyone like to help with some feedba

<t>QuinnX that sounds like a fairly reasonable idea. <br/> <br/> I would suggest taking it one step further by setting a sample patch as a self contained module (as suggested but without the song) which would overcome the filenaming problem. Then songs should simply reference modules. <br/> <br/> Th...
