Re: William Coakleys Grand Piano..Coming to the Fantom G
Personally, this was the one area that I never liked on the G. This is good news to hear I guess. I like the piano on the ES and XS much better than any of the stock ones from the Fantom G. This is just my opinion.

Re: Roland Customer Relationship
<t>thextreme1, <br/> <br/> I'm also a former Fantom G owner. Personally I just didn't feel the vibe with the G for the 1 year that I had it. I sold it and got a Motif. <br/> <br/> This is not to knock the Fantom G at all, but I did think it was concerning that Roland support bailed on these forums. ...

Re: Fantom G production terminated?!
<r>Atlas5, <br/> <br/> Sorry about that. I guess I used Support in the wrong context. I meant support of the Fantom G like with the ARX cards, OS updates, etc. You would have thought that Roland would have backed the Fantom G 100% since it was their flagship workstation. They basically abandoned the...

Re: Fantom G production terminated?!
<r>Wow, just finished reading this thread.... <br/> <br/> I can understand both arguments for software based music and hardware based music. That's why we have a choice <E>:)</E> <br/> <br/> As a past Fantom G user and now currently a Yamaha Motif ES and XS user, I can tell you that the problem is v...

Re: What is Roland answer to Motif Xf?
<t>V-CeeOh, <br/> <br/> There is no doubt that the Fantom G interface is more user friendly then the Motif. I will miss that no doubt, but I'm sure that I will come to learn the interface of the Motif, especially now that I have two Motifs. <br/> <br/> Yes, I wasn't sold on the XF as compared to the...

Re: What is Roland answer to Motif Xf?
<t>symphonicus, <br/> <br/> Agree with you about the factory sounds. I still do believe that the Fantom G has the most potential moving forward as far as workstations are concerned. I'm a little disappointed with the ARX selections as of now and I wonder if they will ever make another one. For me, I...

Re: What is Roland answer to Motif Xf?
<t>AC, <br/> <br/> I just sold my Fantom G6 and I got a Yamaha Motif XS6 to replace it and I'm not looking back. A few weeks ago, I picked up a Motif ES6 and I realized that my Fantom needed to go. Plain and simple, I preferred the sounds of the Yamaha over the Roland. I justified my loss as this. I...

Re: ARX ARX ARX ????? COME ON ROLAND!!!
And to my ears, my Motif ES6 sounds better than my Fantom G6 in most areas, not all. In fact, I just sold the Fantom G and I do not miss it one bit.

Re: ARX ARX ARX ????? COME ON ROLAND!!!
<t>I've given up on the ARX expansion. I'll now look to get expansion cards for my newest workstation, the Motif ES6, which I'm really enjoying right now. Bought the 80's soundset last night for the Motif and it's incredible. BTW, my ES6 has definitely made my Fantom G expendable. Looking now to rep...

Re: Connect 2010 nothing new for fantom G! Why????
<t>I got the Yamaha Motif ES6 on the way and the Fantom G6 on Craigslist. I'm really disappointed about the ARX boards or lack of I should say. Again, I'll admit that I'm using the Fantom G as a rompler right now and I really haven't utilized all of the features of it. My mistake was that I should h...

Re: Roland Connect Sep. 2010
<t>Madahorn, <br/> <br/> Nice setup of synths there. Your probably correct when you say that we should get to know our synths better. The problem that I'm facing right now is that I'm using my G like a rompler and many of the sounds have a lot to be desired. I'm not too crazy about the live sets eit...

en76,
Me too. I chose the Fantom G over the XS because of the expansion capability. I guess I struck out there. Another RD version? I just don't get it!

javaj,
I currently have my Fantom G6 up on Craigslist. No bites though, even at $1400 dollars!
