Re: Using the pads to trigger drum sounds

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping it was an easy procedure (playing drum sounds from the pads) , but maybe not.

Using the pads to trigger drum sounds

Hello everyone, it's been a long time since I've been here. I used to post regularly when I owned an RD700GXF. Fast forward about 6 or 7 years and I went and bought an FA-08! I'm using it as an all in one type keyboard and while there are compromises, it does get the job done. Now for my question,lo...

700NX cut-off note update for a 700GXF?

I was wondering if any other users were able to resolve the abrupt cut off of notes when using the SN acoustic pianos and other layered tones in their 700GXF's? Can the available update that apparently fixes the problem with 700NX be used somehow with the 700GXF, being that they possess the same bas...

Re: Roland RD700GX and SRX-12

Orangefunk is right about all that he has said. I've been missing in action from this forum because I got rid of my RD700GX(F) and went around the "world" with various digital stage pianos. I went from an Kawai MP6 to a Korg SV-1 and then a Yamaha CP5 and came back "home" to Rola...

Re: Does the G Fantom G recognize Half-pedaling?

Thanks piaknowguy for the info! Btw that's a cool film score track that you have. Was it done entirely on the Fantom G and also using just the internal sounds?

Does the G Fantom G recognize Half-pedaling?

<t>Hi all, I am really thinking about pulling the trigger on buying a Fantom G6, but I am interested in knowing if I could use my DP8 that I use with my RD700 GXF to support half-pedaling on the G. I know that it has an effect called sympathetic resonance, but I don't know if the Fantom G recognizes...

Re: graphic equalizer design bug?

<t>Hey Delirium, I'm pretty sure you're referring to the 4 band EQ located at the top of the GX, because thats's what I'm talking about in my explanation..... what you do is this. If you are using the EQ in the One Touch setting mode, just make all the changes you want with the EQ (EQ button on) and...

Re: The new RD-700NX

<t>Maybe dewster was a little harsh by saying "beyond idiotic", but he does have a point about over extending the "Stage Piano" for a function that is more suited for a dedicated synth. I actually like Roland's joystick on their synths, but not for an instrument that is predominately a stage piano. ...

Re: RD700NX.....Just starting it folks, let's go!!!!

<t>Ok mojkarma I'll eat that, and admit to being wrong about Roland. All of the explanation that you went into about polyphony and how it's actually applied to the oscillators, I'm well aware of how the basic procedure goes. I was just misinformed by one of the Roland reps during that time. <br/> <b...

Re: RD700NX.....Just starting it folks, let's go!!!!

<t>Ah actually in Roland's case no. I'm right. And yes I am referring to playing a single stereo patch that can contain up to 4 levels. Here is a brief description from the Fantom X that Roland introduced some years back: <br/> <br/> " Roland's new sound generator chip. This chip is Roland's most po...

Re: One Key is Louder Than Others

<t>Yep, your contacts for that key are bad......there are two sensors under these green button like suction cups that are depressed when you hit a key. It's a relative easy and inexpensive job. However, leave it to an authorized Roland repair shop. That link that dbijoux suggested is the place to go...

Re: RD700NX.....Just starting it folks, let's go!!!!

<t>~As piano samples are stereo, real polyphony is actually 64, and under intensive use of the damper pedal, you can get some notes cut (it happens to me in some passages of Beethoven's Moonlight sonata). <br/> <br/> That's strange that you are experiencing that, but I have to back up Roland on this...
