Was just searching trying to see if mvnation made it's way back online and it appears it did.
Just a little different address. News to me but I'm for sure happy about it.

Re: MV Killer (sorry)
What is it that you would add to it or take away from it? I'm asking because if you see something wrong other than the hate for a brand I would love to hear it. To me it looks like a power house.

Re: MV Killer (sorry)
Yeah I'm dead serious. If it had a Roland name on it and said MV 9000 or something of that nature, all the fan boys would be tinkling in their panties. But that will never happen because Roland stopped supporting the MV within months of releasing the 8800. Your only argument against the X is that is...

MV Killer (sorry)
I was one of the first people to own an 8800. I still use it, it's rock solid. As much as we've hoped for a new version from Roland that's not going to happen. Never the less we've all made our wish list about what we'd like to see in a new version. That list starts something like. A stand alone, no...

Re: MV-8800 low volume just in headphones out
If it's only one sample it has to either be in the routing or how the sample is coming in. Have you tried the sample in an audio phrase and a patch?
If everything is quite it could be a global setting. I believe headphones get their feed from the MIX

Re: MV Mods
Yeah they are silent and they generate less heat (not as if that's an issue). I'm not sure they are more reliable though. Sure they are less likely to be damaged if you move your MV around or take it to gigs. But SSD's do not usually last as long as HDD's and can go out with little to no warning.......

Re: MV crashed w/midi....plus some housekeeping questions
First I would be very very careful with having your MV hooked up to a Windows PC. Windows Media Player wants to index the drive and it will phuck it up. That said though, you can easily make edits from your PC. It's no big deal as long as you take the proper precautions. Now about the freezing you a...

Re: MV Mods
I've never seen the word "fast" used to describe the MV. Putting an SSD in it is kind of pointless as there's a bottleneck at the IDE buss. I mean unless you somehow figured out a way around that, I don't see any advantage.

Re: MV8000 Effect Routing Problems
It sounds like you're doing a good job of trouble shooting. You probably have it turned down somewhere. I haven't touched my MV in a while but if you can't figure it out I can fire it up and give you a step by step.

Re: MV-8000 not booting from CD or HD
That amount of Ram should be perfectly fine. In fact people have had success with 1GB it just doesn't show it.
You didn't by chance try to put an 8800 update on your 8000 did you? Because that would be bad.

I'm not on here much I know this is from a few months ago....
If you haven't already replaced the tact switch, there's an easy work around.
Just use your mouse and click record on the screen.

Yes
F1 (Song Menu)> 8 (save as user template)
When you start up a new project you should be able to select from a template.
