Using more than 16 midi tracks?
<t>Hello all. Okay, I've read this forum and googled a lot myself but i can't seem to understand. Call me dumb I guess. Is it possible to use more than 16 midi tracks in one song? In the Sequencer I see there are 16 midi tracks and 24 audio tracks. I like to add drums on there own tracks (kick- trck...

Re: Fantom as midi controller and sound module simultaneousl
Exactly! That's the setup I'll run. With the addition of maybe Battery 3, Kontakt 3, and some other NI products. How exactly do you have it setup if you don't mind me asking?

Importing samples from Zero-G, EWQL, Scarbee, etc...
Have you guys used any samples from these companies in conjuction with the FG? I like the fact that the FG is a wonderful workstation for sounds like keys, strings, etc..but what about importing sample libraries for synths, FX..? I love sounds from EWQL and Zero-G. Is it worth it?

Thanks so much for the quick response. I saw a video by Dan Krisher (i believe thats his name..) that kind of went into what you just explained to me. It seems like a lot but I'm sure it'll get easier. Thanks again.

Fantom as midi controller and sound module simultaneously!
<t>Hello all. My question is in regards to using the Fantom as both a midi controller and sound module. I want to be able to use Omnisphere as my main synth and the fantom as my workstation for bread and butter sounds. Is this possible during the same session? For example, midi track 1-fantom...midi...

Re: MC 909 + SRX cards= V-synth
Your choice of buying a V-Synth or not shouldn't be predicated on its lack of a sequencer! That's a bit like choosing which car to buy based on whether it comes with a radio or CD player! At risk of upsetting all the Fantom owners (and I am one) - have you considered performing the sequencing (and ...

Re: MC 909 + SRX cards= V-synth
You are so wrong I do not even know what to say ;-) :-) I know what you mean. My reason for asking is because I am looking for an all-in-one. Sequencer, sampler, synth, etc.. I'm not sure the V-synth has one. I'm trying to get away from the "software" based setup. And If I go the V-synth ...

MC 909 + SRX cards= V-synth
<t>What do you guys think? I'm looking for something with a sequencer and great sounds. I know the specs on both but I I figured the MC 909 with the SRX cards would be a better option given the 909 has a sequencer. Also it seems that I can tweak sounds "just as" good as the V-synth. But overall I lo...
