Re: Best practices for realistic drumming sequences
Hi all, Another trick that can be used is to find some MIDI files, on the net, and use the drum track. Record your own music over it. Or spend the time to put together drum tracks, your own collection and use them to record new music. Also if you have a drum Modual with MIDI, record it's tracks and ...

Re: Best practices for realistic drumming sequences
HI all, When I got the Fantom G and I went to lay down my first drum track I just groaned. I have played drums so much in the last few years that the idea of doing it with my fingers again was yuk. I use to do it very much like you are doing it now on my old sq-80 ensonqi. I went out and got a elect...

Re: Drum rolls
HI all, Drum rolls or anything on the drum side. This is what I would do go on line find midi files with drum tracks. By cutting up these tracks you could build many short files of just about anything. I know this would take some time, but this is useful. Now I went a total different way, I play dru...

Re: splitting midi files into separate tracks
<t>Last month I asked the same quetion no real aswers back from the Clan. I do agree that the Fantom should be able to de-mix midi tracks. This is a funtion that I would use often. I do have software that will do this, but turning on my old Atari Computer is a pain. I will try Reaper then I don't ha...

Re: de mix midi track
Well I think that I will have to drag out the old Atari Computer. she knows how to de-mix a midi file. I knew about the 0 & 1 files, but I was hoping that I could do it on the FG and not have to go somewhere else, Ok Thank you.

de mix midi track
Can the FG de mix a midi track Some I find on the net come on one track when I put them into a song or phrase. If the FG can't I have another computer program that will do the job, but I would like to do it on the FG so I don't have to use the other program.

Re: plugging in an electric guitar and getting it to sound g
<t>It seems to me just use your effect boxes that you have. If you don't have any yet, I can see a Pod, but to drop that kind of change on a new guitar effect box seems $$$$$$. Or try a mic on your guitar amp, you might have to put the amp in a different room with the mic, but you will get your soun...

Re: Music production again
<t>I use the Fantom G as my studio. I record in Audio my guitar, bass, voice and because Yamaha Dtxplorer electronic drum set did not follow the GM map, I have had great luck using the Audio in when recording. I will be getting a new brain for the set soon so I can stay in the midi world. I do play ...

Re: Playing Fantom G LIVE music with MIDI files
<t>Genus9, Something I know something about. After you get your tunes fixed, remember that you are playing along with a recording and not a live band. A live band will cover your $^%$^ if you go to the wrong verse or what ever. I started a one man gig 21 years ago and I remember the 1st few gigs and...

Re: Laying down drums/kits properly, creatively
<t>Looks like your doing great. I do it a little different. When I got the G I sat down and did the first drum track using the keyboard. Well I have played live drums so much in the last few years and the idea of recording on the keyboard just did not cut it. I picked up a Yamaha Dtxplorer Electroni...

Look out they pulled a fast one.
<t>Hi all, I did not get any response on my last post, but I did end up finding the information and want to pass it on to you all. I wanted to play a electroic drum set and record it into the G. Well I picked up a DTxplorer from Yamaha and it does have a midi out, for what reason, I have no idea, th...

Midi in to G from Yamaha Dtxplorer electronic Drum set
<t>Hi all, I just got the DT xplorer electronic Drum set and when I hooked the midi up to the G everything worked but the snare drum. How can I change the snare drum note on the G. I will also explore how to change the midi send fromthe DT xplorer. I hope that there will be a way, I would hope that ...
