Re: Is Aira dead ?
I think we have to accept that the Aira line is developmentally dead and just walking to the finish line. Just seems that Roland never put the necessary push on it to make it work and the progress they made otherwise allowed them to simply move on. Would love for it not to be dead but if it is still...

Re: Roland DJ-808 vs. Traktor Kontrol S8
They are built for 2 totally different types of DJs, the real question is what type of DJ are you?
That's where you need to start and it will help you weight the value of the two.

Re: MV-8800 after two weeks - expectations
Interesting enough is all the requests from MPC and MV custoners about bringing back a pure hardware drum sampler and Pioneer goes and does it with their Toraiz and DSI analog filters in it. Nice one for Pioneer. Lots of people expecting too much from the Toraiz. Think more DJ tool than production ...

Re: Is it possible to load more than 16 Instruments?

Re: roland system 1 polyphony
lol :) Okay - first things first; I am not the type of musician that the Aira range is aimed at. It is designed for Dance/DJ/live types. It is not designed for studio work - this is an important first step to understand the whole Aira range. This is the key to making effective use of the AIRA produ...

Re: TR-8-Bug: Muted Drum-Notes are sent to midi-out!
Well it really depends on whether or not this is a design flaw or a bug.
If it's a design flaw it is the intended result and harder to resolve since other functions may be dependent on this behavior.
Guess you need to contact Roland.

If you can't find a cause you can always temporarily disable the signature verification process, but you should have to with this driver.
That was supposed to say "but you shouldn't have to with this driver".

Re: Where's the buzz?
You make a so called point but offered nothing to go along with it so you are actually trolling. If you don't visit Gearslutz why would you act as if others do? If you were really trying to make a point you would have stated why you feel features are missing. Instead you offered nonsense of no value...

Re: Where's the buzz?
The AIRA line all lack wi-fi broadband to post troll AIRA hate posts from them realtime while performing at the club. Unbelievable. As for serious suggestions, refer to pages 2 thru 203,957 of the GearSlutz thread. All missing features are in those pages somewhere. Sorry, still couldn't give a seri...

Re: Tune per pad for tr-8
It appears that Roland's goal was to try and capture as much of the true nature of the original 808/909 so it's highly unlikely that it's an ability that's hidden within the TR-8.
Would be nice if it could but I haven't seen anyway to do it.

Re: Documentation
Really hated the size of the print and the multi language foldout, then I realized the TR-8 was so simplistic and straight forward that the manual was pretty much unnecessary. The really should at least redo the PDF so that it's in a normal layout and printable so the users have a viable option to t...
