Re: Roland announces the RD-700GX SuperNATURAL Piano Kit

Well, I installed my upgrade kit yesterday 3/10/10 and I'm well satisfied. I was concerned about it not living up to it's price, but I feel like it was worth every penny. I won't get into the tech aspects of the kit right now, but suffice it to say "I'm happy".

Re: Roland announces the RD-700GX SuperNATURAL Piano Kit

Greg, I guess we can flood the forum next week with our reviews. I sure hope that they are mostly positive, as I'd say this will be the only "upgrade" there will ever be for the 700gx.

Re: Roland announces the RD-700GX SuperNATURAL Piano Kit

<t>Greg, he actually called my wife while I was at work before he shipped it, to see if I wanted to require a signature on delivery, and he would wave the 2 bucks that they usually charge for that confirmation service. <br/> <br/> I got the feeling that(after 2 calls from SW in 2 days) that they fel...

Re: Roland announces the RD-700GX SuperNATURAL Piano Kit

<t>Thanks guys. I pre-ordered from here in the USA, and the dude from SW called me yersterday, and told me the product will ship to me on Friday 3/5/10. I love the GX already, and I'm looking forward to the upgrade. You guys enjoy. As soon as I get mine (whenever), I'll post my thoughts. <br/> John<...

Re: Roland announces the RD-700GX SuperNATURAL Piano Kit

how does the usb stick upgrade go? Does it operate like an auto-exec file for a hands free OS update? Explain that part if you don't mind. I'm waiting on mine to arrive next week. Thanks.

audio96,
I love the A- frame tubular keyboard stand you have. Can these be purchased; if so, where; or did you hand craft this yourself? Thanks.

Re: Strange sound only holding on damper

I thought the same thing you did lisandro. I've never owned an acoustic piano, as I'm a guitar player of 48 years who just bought his first keyboard 15 months ago. Now there are many instances where the damper pedal sound makes the sound and feel, better to me.

Re: Im back to the Roland World!

Welcome back lisandro. I too, love my RD700gx. There are some nice boards out there, and I'd like to have a stable of them, but I wouldn't give up my gx to obtain any of them.

Re: Roland announces the RD-700GX SuperNATURAL Piano Kit

<t>Mystic38, <br/> I'm not referring to a lack of promise when they shipped the actual keyboard; I'm speaking about ANY company that debuts a product, and gives no release date for that product(the upgrade expansion). If they had a product to demo at NAMM, then they have a product to use to leave au...

Re: Roland announces the RD-700GX SuperNATURAL Piano Kit

<t>from a marketing point of view, this has always stumped me. I would think that any company introducing a product, would want to capitalize on all the hype, and have units ready to ship. Why wait for someone, who is on the fence; to buy another product when the new release might have swayed them. ...

Re: Any way to change the order of the tones?

<t>mojkarma, <br/> sorry about things getting off to a bad start. We are all musicians just sharing stuff here. I know how frustrating it can be when you have an instrument that you like, but it misses the mark in some areas. Good luck my friend; you sound like a serious player, and I'm sure your go...

Delirium,
Do you mean he's using something like the Motif XS rack unit? Whatever he's using, he sounds great, and has tons of talent to go with the gear.

Re: Any way to change the order of the tones?

<t>mojkarma, <br/> sometimes things can be taken in a different light, than they are meant, when communicating through forums. I was in no way trying to slight you, or anyone else who might want to use 100's of setups/tones/ect. I did seem to overlook your mention of using several different tones in...
