yes you can. i dont even use the front panel EQ unless i need to calibrate to the room.
you can select the EQ's and other effects within the patch and program it there. the eq's and other effects be individually programmed per patch (your other patches will be unaffected).

Re: RD-700NX Replacement This Year?
yah.. would be cool for those that bought the GX-F cause there's probably only a handful of them around. :D makes for a nice collector's item. kinda like me having a DX11 back in the days. those were very scarce. had 2 typo's on the front panel too, to add a nice touch of exclusivity. lol... Asssign...

Re: RD-700NX Replacement This Year?
there was a GX-F between GX SN upgrade and NX.
i remember thinking i will wait till the GX-F...then soon after it got canned and replaced with the NX.
NX, if i remember correctly did not release until early spring of 2011 in the US. i bought mine in december 2011.

Re: RD-700NX Replacement This Year?
not sure cause the RD700NX is a pretty complete setup for performing musicians so i kind of doubt there will be a replacement anytime soon?

Re: V-Piano in ken's music room..
hi daniel- its good to hear others' experience with the roland supernatural piano's and the virtual string piano such as the VPiano. they are very different instruments. My VPiano setup is straight (dry) to a pair of Yamaha HS50's. :) after setting up the tuning for each of the keys to how i liked i...

Re: First-time poster, RD-700NX question for owners
Thanks both for your replies, this is really useful! I had been looking at the CP1 as well, especially as the price has fallen a little in the UK, so there is only about £500 difference between the two compared with when the CP1 was released. I'll do a bit more research me thinks :) There is a bit ...

Re: First-time poster, RD-700NX question for owners
im not a big fan of the DX7 ep sounds either, but if that's your thing along with playing other ep sounds, i recommend getting the CP1 instead. it has a real FM tone generator inside dedicated to playing those authentic DX sounds and the ep's are so much nicer in the CP vs the RD. if you're a piano ...

hahaha, sounds good! :DhowardS wrote:Also, I meant to tell you that I tried the "press and hold" on the CP1 as you suggested, Kenchan, and of course, it worked!
the layout is fairly simple on the CP1...kind of reminds me of an old stereo integrated amp from the 70's and 80's.

thanks, howards! :DhowardS wrote:Hey kenchan, you know I care. :)
I do agree that they have a different colour. It would be nice if one board had the best of all sounds for your ear but it is good that you have the luxury of being able to keep the RD as well.

Re: Think im going to sell my RD700NX soon...
so i still have my RD. :D and was playing with it this week, made new piano patches (concert and studio grands), and i think im going to keep it even if it's just for the piano sounds and the nice keybed. was playing along side my trusty old sr18 and having a good time. then switched over to my CP1 ...
