Re: Turn users away
<t>Parsifal I find normalising doesn't help. Sampling adds a lot of top end frequency and transients but kills the life out of kicks, so freeing up FX by resampling doesn't help me..<br/> <br/> I have heard the expansions but they still dont have those modern sounds I need. I have come close with my...

Re: Tips for Better Atmos/ soft pad sounds
<t>I use my own 8 voice big pads, but you run into polyphony problems (even with just 2 voice) a lot if there is much of a release tail especially on big rising cressendos where there are automation movements on several sliders being recorded (for example to keep the volume in check as the filters o...

Re: Turn users away
<t>To be clear, I make music that needs to pump and shake with max volume in the chorus but is quieter and building in the drops which is not everyones cuppa tea. But when you take a pice of kit to the absolute limit is where you really hear the shortcommings - like high pitch's and a mtetallic tran...

Re: Turn users away
<t>Human progress is wrought by those that are dissatisfied, never by those that are happy to remain static.<br/> <br/> Good companies deliver on promises. Roland sales leterature advised the Fantom is capable of near professional results, but this is misleading.<br/> I thought I'd be able for examp...

<t>SIDECHAIN COMPRESSION TRICK<br/> <br/> <br/> For anyone wanting to make dance, side chain compression has become an invaluable feature of any track to get that pump between kicks.<br/> <br/> I found the best way to get this is using the 'duck' fx.<br/> A kick needs to play for the duck to work pr...

Re: Do I need an interface or can I just use the USB connect
<t>Artimiy<br/> <br/> I get you on the resample thang, but have you noticed when you use the Fantoms to resample the sound is altered a great deal, in particularly the higher frequencies.<br/> <br/> Also I need massive extra memory to resample entire tracks within the Fantom surely?<br/> <br/> I'm t...
