Re: Vocoder dynamics & Juno-Stage vs. others
<t>Not sure how you are defining "flexible" in this question, but I have used the pre-sets for some live gigs, and have been pretty happy with it. I did note that you need the mic volume up quite a bit higher to get a good vocorder sound than for just singing through it (made for some nasty feedback...

Juno Stage soft case
<t>Just a heads up to any new Juno Stage users looking for a good soft case. Guitar Center is moving the Gig Skinz soft cases to "special order only", and is cutting prices on units still in the stores. I got a nice one with faux-fur lining and wheels for $99 (USD). Worth checking out, it's nicer th...

Re: Juno Delivery
Yeah, took me a while to find the pages in that.
Right now I'm really focused on getting sounds found for about 30 to 35 songs for a gig Friday night and getting them written into the User patch and performance areas (so I can use that spiffy FS-6 I went and bought).

Re: Juno Delivery
<t>Well, it's finally here! (a non-smashed one that is) I'm pretty pleased with it so far. I think the navigation is going to take some getting used to - right now I think my Korg X-50 seems to do that better with category based menus, but once I start building up a favorites list I don't think that...

Re: Juno Delivery
<t>And there's one less Juno Stage out there, thanks to UPS deciding to use mine as a pinata for their office party this weekend (well, that's what it looked like when they tried to deliver). AMS was really good about it and are sending a new one 2nd day (and double boxed). I'm still grumpy about it...

Re: What have you got?
<t>Not much current vintage gear - my kid brother still has my old AlphaJuno1, my Ensoniq ESQ-1 needs a new mobo (after a tragic battery transplant gone wrong) and there's the 1963 Hammond L-103 in the basement (where it is staying until the sun burns out or I get much stronger friends).<br/> <br/> ...

Re: A Keyboard amp of a Fantom?
<t>From experience - the only gig I've played where I needed to turn my Roland KC-150 past half-way was in a club that had a fire code of about 650 people for the main room, with a band doing a Bon Jovi tribute show. I use an angled amp stand to keep the amp close to me, and then line out to the PA ...

Re: A Keyboard amp of a Fantom?
<t>Might be at or just above the top end of your price range, but I have a Roland KC-150 that I really like. Before that I was on a Peavey KB 300 (great sound but beyond bulkey, and I put it on wheels). The KC-150 is a 60 watt unit that has never left me wanting for volume with the bands I play in. ...

Re: Who plays in a church band?
<t>Little late to the party, but thought I'd chime in.<br/> <br/> Currently playing pretty much every week 4-6 songs. We have a full-time (paid) leader on guitar and vocal, and the rest of the band and sound techs are volunteers. Been using an Alesis QS7.1 and Korg X50, my new Juno Stage just shippe...

Mine is coming from AMS
. . . and it shows as "picking" this morning. Hope to have it ready to go for a gig on the 17th - maybe use it at church before that.
(now in route via UPS due for delivery Monday the 6th)
