Re: 1gb ram showing as 512mb in my Fantom G

My Fantom G shows I have a 1GB DIMM in my unit. An OS update increased the size the Fantom G can read.

Re: ARX-03 not working or user erorr?

My ARX-02 board stop working a few month ago. At first it would work intermittently. Eventually it quit working altogether. I tried removing and reinstalling it board. Ialso tried swapping slots with my ARX-01 board and discovered the problem followed the bad board. I really loved the sound of the A...

Re: RE: New Fantom Model Question (help?)

I agree with Quinn. I was more productive on my Fantom G than I am using Sonar Platinum. I have over 60 plug-ins and have yet to find the time to do anything but audition presets. I also have NI Maschine but since I am not much of a sampler, it has not been of great use to me. The computer DAW is gr...

Re: My review of the Fantom G6 - Wow!

I stated two or three yeas ago that all the bitching and complaining would cause Roland to abandon the Fantom G. Don't get me wrong, but your statement is a little naive. Constant bitching and complaining is a sign that there is something wrong with the product. Besides that, when we talk about Rol...

Re: My review of the Fantom G6 - Wow!

I stated two or three yeas ago that all the bitching and complaining would cause Roland to abandon the Fantom G. If I were a potential buyer and viewed the complaints on this forum, I probably would not have purchased one. If a company cannot sell a product, they will drop it. There is a better way ...

Re: My Fantom G feature wishlist

I agree with jahrome about the sequencer, it has the potential to rival computer base sequencer if they add the missing features.

Re: Great review in Sep Issue of Keyboard Mag

<t>I am really starting to understand and like the work flow of the FG. The only thing preventing me from using it over Reason 4 at the moment is exporting to SMF which should be available in version 1.20 I hope. I like to finish my projects in Sonar because editing is still easier and faster for me...

Great review in Sep Issue of Keyboard Mag

PROS "Awesome sound, extremely powerful sequencer and multitrack audio recorder". Large screen is a pleasure to work with.

CONS "Screen can lull you into thinking all functions are accessed there (some aren't) leading to confusion. SMF export won't be implemented until version 1.20.

Re: Negative reponse please do not kill this synth

<t>Funny you should ask. I found them on the Fusionzone site when I first purchase the Fusion. However, I upgraded my system which including a clean install. I thought I saved everything important but I forgot about the Master Ins file. A stupid mistake on my part. I still believe I have the file so...

Re: Negative reponse please do not kill this synth

The G seems to have the DSP power to grow a lot further than any other hardware board on the market not counting the Open Lab Miko.

Re: Negative reponse please do not kill this synth

<t>I agree with you on the navigation of the UI, it was a little behind the time even with the shortcuts which made editing anything a pain. I purchased an instructional DVD that help some. The sequencer while full fledged was a pain to navigate but you could lay down a decent scratch track with it....
