Re: Fantom XR gain Problem
Hello T20,
yes the Fantom-XR outputs are balanced !
If you use it with balanced cables you have the advantage of a better signal to noise ratio.
Search the forum with "balanced" or "TRS" keywords, it has been discussed here.

SRX-12 so toll ?

Be careful with OS update V2.02 for Fantom-XR

Re: Have a XV5080. How much overlap with Fantom XR sound wis
<t>Hi,<br/> <br/> I own both, a Fantom-XR and a XV5080.<br/> XV5080 is better when editing patches and performances because of its bigger display. That's important for me when playing live (and tweaking sounds), because I don't have a PC with an editor on stage.<br/> Fantom-XR sounds "clearer" and m...

Good to know that the Device ID is part of the MIDI patch file.
Everything is clear now.
Thanks for your confirmation and help.

Fantom-X Editor Bug when importing SMF ?
<t>I determined a strange behaviour of the Fantom-X-Editor when importing SMF's.<br/> When the Device-ID (Editor-Menu "Setup Midi Devices") is configured to any other number than the default 17, SMF's (patches from patches section) can't be imported.<br/> I determined that because I wanted my Fantom...

Did you ever test the JvXv SW to convert JV syx files into X
No single JV syx file can be transformed. Error Message: "Unknown sysex or file type."
Are there any restrictions according to JV series synthesizer (e.g. JV1080 only) ?
The SW can be found here: http://freespace.virgin.net/jr.bowden/programs.htm
Thanks for help.

Re: Tried to load patches from this site to Fantom-XR -> no
Thanks for the info.
My next problem is - how can I find out if the MIDI file is a Librarian or SysEx file, cause the extension is the same and there is no hint in the patches section. Do I have to analyse the file data structure or is there an easier way ?

Re: Tried to load patches from this site to Fantom-XR -> no
ProgressiveD, that's not the point.
I tried to transfer patch data as .mid files in sysex format to my XR in order to check out the patches.
Any other help available ?
