Re: I am gonne trade my fantomx for a fusion is this wise?

<t>I wouldn't do that. I'd say you are trading a high quality keyboard (both sound and built wise) for 4 low quality keyboards. IMO Fusion is an OASYS made by Casio.

Why don't you use a computer instead?

Sam

March 14th 1984
Music student at Dalhousie
Fant...

Re: another new RD-700SX owner

<t>Thanks for the reply, GregC. I already own a Fantom-x7, Steinberg's The Grand v.2 and Synthogy's Ivory. So the new piano sounds, USB MIDI and other new stuff are not that important to me. In other words I am looking for a decent 88-key MIDI controller.

Do you think 900 CND is fair for...

Re: Mastering, Compression & Recording

<t>If you can master your work in Cubase or anyother DAW, you should turn of the mastering section in Fantom. It's not a good idea to over process a mix.

Apply EQ and Compression to individual tracks "if they really need it", and then use EQ and Compression on the final mix if necessary.<...

Re: frustrated with midi and usb???

no idea,

your problem sounds like a channel issue. make sure that you change to performance mode, before running cakewalk.

Re: frustrated with midi and usb???

<t>da-man,

Set Fantom to MIDI Mode, and make sure your are in Performance Mode, not Patch Mode. This should solve your problem.

Also remember that for each track in Cakewalk you should set a new track number. If you use the same track number for two or more tracks, their MIDI d...

Re: Best monitor headphones for under $150?

How about Sony MDR-V600 ($100) or MDR-V700DJ ($150) ?

I've got MDR-V600 and am really impressed with the quality, but it's not gonna sound like a $400 headphone, for sure.

Re: Anyone familiar with NUENDO ?. Computer freezes. help

<t>You didn't mention which version of NUENDO you are using, but as far as I remember it was an bug in the NUENDO 2.0 intial release. Make sure you are using the latest version ie. 2.2.0.39

But if you are using version 3, go ask nuendo.com people.

Sam

March 14th 1984...
