Re: srx-01?
True, but it is really worth it compared to the standard kits on the X. The reverbs also seem to need a lot more to be noticable. I'm using the SRX-01 all the time for live backing Pop and Rock tunes and it does a great job of simulating a real drummer. This is the Fantom XR (with SRX-01, 03, 06, 07...

Re: Fantom XR: Playing samples with Midi files?
<t>Great, thanks. I have the editor but I have never used it for sampling yet.<br/> <br/> My main lack of understanding is how you access the samples. With built-in sounds and SRX sounds I use the MSB, LSB, PC control codes to choose a sound.<br/> <br/> How dows it work when I choose sample sounds? ...

Fantom XR: Playing samples with Midi files?
I'm playing live with Fantom XR as a backing machine fed by Midi files.
I wonder if I can use the sampler and trigger sounds with Midi files?
thanks

Re: Can you send midi messages to switch between Patch and P
All these sysex commands are shown very clearly in the editor that you can use with the module/synth
You just connect the module/synth with a pair of midi cables and then you have full control and sysex overview.
best regards

Re: srx dynamic drums
It is a safe buy if you need natural sounding real drums. There are so many great sounds in different genres and you can always find what you need here. I use it both in my studio and for Midi backing live. The only thing is dowsn't have is percussion but the X has enough percussion sounds. That mea...

High pass EQ
<t>Hello group, I have a Q for you:<br/> <br/> When I play my Midi backing files I sometimes want to cut off the bass parts of organs/pianos to avoiude too much interference with the bass and kick drum.<br/> <br/> It would be nice if there was a Midi controller doing this but I don't think there is ...

Is my Fantom XR broken?
<t>I tried installing the SRX-01 and the SRX-11 boards today and the XR will only recognise the boards in slots E and F.<br/> <br/> If I try mounting the boards in A-D it can't recognise any of the boards.<br/> <br/> Is there something I miss doing here or is my Fantom XR just broken?? The unit is u...

XV drum patches for Fantom X ?
<t>Hello fellow Roland'ers, I am in the process of upgrading from XV3080 to a Fantom XR module. I am playing live using the module as backing band and I have a lot of XV tweaked Midi files to repatch for the XR.<br/> <br/> My first disappointment was the total lack of a useful fretless bass. This pr...
