Re: USB noise and sampling noise

<r>Hi Dirk!<br/> <br/> One of my friends wanted to buy my MC-808 for the same price as I bought it (I bought it used). He didn't care about the USB noise at all. I decided to sell it to him a lil cheaper than I bought it a month ago because my uncle is giving me a brand new MC-808 because we used to...

Re: Juno G - USB Noise

<t>I have EXACTLY the same problem with my Roland MC-808, and I mean EXACTLY. It's the same sound as you recorded. But for me, it DOESN'T help using a laptop only powered by the internal battery. There is no difference there. Powered by power supply or not, the sound is still there and it ruins my r...

Re: USB noise and sampling noise

<r>I think I found out what is wrong. I tried connecting a normal power cable (like the ones you use for lamps etc.) from the grounding screw on the back of the MC-808 to the metal on the USB female on my PC. Then the exact same high-pitched noise appeared, even without any usb cable connected! The ...

Re: USB noise and sampling noise

Thanks Dirk, I'll try calling Roland first, then I'll look for other solutions!

Peace, thanks for your help!

Re: USB noise and sampling noise

<r>Hi thanks for the reply, never heard of a DI box before! I've read the page you linked me but it's a little hard for me to find out exactly what kind of DI box I need..<br/> <br/> Did I understand this right?:<br/> <br/> If I connect the jack outs of my MC-808 to the DI box's jack ins and connect...

Re: "Machine Gun" drum roll

I am very new to my MC-808 and I don't know how to do it but I remember that I saw a section describing how to do it in the manual. It is at page 34 (2-2-7). I don't know if it is the right thing but check it out!

Peace!

USB noise and sampling noise

<r>Hi everyone...<br/> <br/> My MC-808 is my first sampler/drum machine and there is a lot I don't know, even though I practise a lot! I discovered two things that I don't understand, and I would really like to know if there is something wrong or if it is usual for a groovebox:<br/> <br/> When I con...

Re: Deleting an entire pattern completely from the pattern l

Thanks a lot!! That works!! I didn't know it was called "Initializing" when you reset a pattern. That was why I couldn't find the answer anywhere (my first Groovebox) :-D

Thanks for helping me out!!

Re: Deleting an entire pattern completely from the pattern l

<t>Thanks for the reply! But I don't understand.. I must delete the sources by hitting [SHIFT]+Pad 3? When I do that it deletes everything in the pattern but the pattern name is still the same and the fader positions are still there. It doesn't return to the state it was from the start, an empty slo...

Deleting an entire pattern completely from the pattern list

<t>Hey everyone..<br/> <br/> I'm starting to get the MC-808 to know quite well, I've practised a lot with it, but I still have one silly problem! It's quite simple to descibe actually: I don't know how to delete a pattern completely from the list of patterns, so that the slot will return to the "Emp...

Re: Power supply ?

<t>Hi there!<br/> <br/> They are both right. The one with 3 plugs is grounded, the other isn't. That's the only difference. Doesn't matter which one you use, except that the grounded one has some advantages (prevents some static electricity in the alu front plate). But I'm using a power supply with ...

Re: Saving pattern fader positions (plz help me!!)

<t>You are the king!! Thank you so much for telling us how to do it. We never thought about editing in patch mode! Now everything works perfectly well here. I'll always save to the INIT's when I save something, so that I don't overwrite the patches in the MC.<br/> <br/> Before we knew how to do it w...

Re: Saving pattern fader positions (plz help me!!)

<t>Thanks a lot for your reply!<br/> <br/> I just don't understand.. When you browse the demo patterns, the faders always goes to a position when you select one of these patterns; Which means that the faders were placed in the right position and then saved with the pattern at the time it was created...

Saving pattern fader positions (plz help me!!)

Hi everyone! I am quite new to the MC-808 and I just can't find a way to save the positions of the faders. I understand how to save a pattern by using the [WRITE] button, but when I load it the faders are just in neutral positions, which means that I lost my adjustments, like e.g. the cutoff, attack...
