MC-505 acting weird

Hi all,

I have a working MC-505 and a MC-505 that acts differently. I'm trying to find out of the second one is broken or not.
Two examples of different behaviour:

- in Play Quantize: the working one shows sequentially the LEDs for Grid, Groove and Shuffle when pressing the button. The other MC-505 shows the LEDS for Grid and Groove at the same time and then the LED for Shuffle, and next nothing.
- In Part Mixer: the working one also shows the LEDs sequentially when pressing the button below. The other one shows Pan and Level at the same time, same story for the Reverb and Delay LEDs.

The LCD is broken, but it is my understanding that can be fixed.

Has my second MC-505 gone to heaven?

That seems weird. If I'm understanding you correctly, the LED lights should cycle through each function with the button push, and not light up two functions simultaneously

Yes, I concur it's weird. Question is: what could be the cause?

Maybe you can make a movie?
Maybe is problem with dirty buttons/switches.
Maybe you should try to restore it to factory defaults- this requires to backup all your projects first of course.

I've never used it. I will try a factory defaults restore. I also need to fix the LCD screen, has the well known problem,
