MV-8800 with black pads

Just a heads up for my fellow MV heads who are contemplating getting the black pads...this is how they look like:

I´ve cut the grey and black pad sheets and put them together so the buttons on the left of the (black) pads are grey. I think it looks way better.

Is the sensitivity still there with the mixture of pads?

I didn´t notice any difference with the pads. But the buttons are way more responsible, because the mpcstuff pad sheets lack these litte shims (for lack of a better word) underneath the buttons.

In fact this was the primary reason to change the buttons back to the stock grey ones!

I am planning to mod the pads with cork or something like that to fill the gap between the pads and the sensors a bit. I´ll keep you posted!

Got black pads on the way for 2nd mv8800. I like the blue on the one I skinned as it is a black skin with green and white lettering and green dragon emblem, but the 2nd will stay clean. Not sure if I'll split black and grey like Soul One did, but probably not. Don't want to steal all his good ideas...
