Bluetooth MIDI thru?

Hello!

Does anyone know if MIDI over Bluetooth (specifically used for program changes from an iPad), supports MIDI thru via the MIDI out port? I have a Yamaha MODX connected to that port but it seems it doesn't receive any data through that connection (also no regular midi stuff like played notes by the way). The other way around does work by the way. Do I miss something or does using MIDI over Bluetooth disable the regular MIDI out port for example?
