I begin to use Zenbeats on iPad for a light live setup-, with a light Keyboard (Roland Go:piano, excellent keybed and piano sounds, battery-powered)
Zenbeats lacks an easy built-in midi setting for midi tracks to set key range for slit/layer live playing.
However, I found 2 workarounds :
For layering : simply activate record arm/enable on each channel strip you want to play together.
For Split / Key range : should be a native midi Fx. Meanwhile, I found a paid AU app called Midi tools that provide this, and is available in midi fx once installed.
Any better ideas ?

Re: Split, layers, key range for live playing
I was going to try to use ZenBeats live for playing but could not figure out how to layer sounds on my ipad 9. I gave up but then maybe I did not read enough. 😀 I did get Camelot on the ipad but still need to learn it. I will have to look at Zenbeats again. I am also looking for an on the go live setup. I have used a few recent midi controllers but sent them back for different reasons. I may take another look at the GoPiano/Gokeys. I was able to test playing both those keyboards in a store before. If I don’t go midi controller I want an audio/midi class compliant 61 keyboard.
