VR 730 applying additional effects in layer mode

Post by jsilipo »

Looking for some help with an issue I have discovered on my Roland vr-730. Brand new machine. Version 1.12.
When creating a layer according to the instructions in the manual , you push two buttons at the same time or push one hold and press another while holding to create the layer.
When I do this on my keyboard, the two sounds will come up but I find a very pronounced addition of additional effects mainly lots of delay and Reverb Etc that are not present in either of the sounds in the layer when played individually.
The manual does state that when you're in layer mode that both sounds will be going through a single effects processor but that is not what the issue is here, the issue is that effects are being added erroneously and are pronounced to a level that is unusable.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?
You can try it out by choosing piano and pad.
Thanks much for any help

Hi!.

I'd like to know if this something affecting this unit, or it's a OS bug

It happens sometime... I think it is a bug. It doesn´t happen when a layering sound is prepared by the VR editor (included effects).
