Hello,
I'm thinking about selling my hardware XV-5080 to get the Cloud VST version, but I have loads of patches that I have created and saved onto a memory card over the years. I was wondering if it is at all possible to import these patches into the software version (they are .svd files but I can also export them as .smf using the official Roland XV-5080 editor).
Has anyone tried this? Thanks.

Hi, thanks for your reply. Just gave it a try and unfortunately this tool does not recognise the XV-5080 sys format, as I feared it would because of all the extra features of the XV-5080. You'd think Roland would have thought of offering this kind of facility wouldn't you.

Maybe this site can help you? From what I understand you'll need to export a bank from the XV-5080 hardware and then use the Python script to convert it to the Roland Cloud XV-5080 bank.

That looks very promising. :) I'll give it a try when I'm back from my holidays.PaleSkinnySwede wrote: ↑13:32, 4 January 2022 Maybe this site can help you? I was quite happy to find this website which converts .syx to .bin files, including whole bank files, which can be loaded into the XV-5080 plugin on Roland Cloud.
http://www.difficultaudio.com/roland
Which also converts XV-1080 .syx patches and banks into .bin which can then be loaded in xv-5080 on roland cloud.
