Pitch-bend lever MIDI send

Post by hag01 »

I searched by a daylight with a candle in the FA's manual and parameter guide and didn't find how to change the MIDI values that sent by the pitch-bend\modulation lever, and particularly didn't find how to change the pitch-bend value, I.E whether it sends half tone bending, or tone or 1.5 or 2 or 3 tones or whatever.

Please tell me how to configure the pitch-bend\modulation lever's MIDI values sending.

Thanks in advance.

Perhaps a brighter candle will help?

See parameter Guide, page 11,Pitch Tab bend range...

I know this page and I have read that already, correct me if I'm wrong but this is going to work for internal sounds only.
I need it to send to external device, I.E computer with DAW and VST instruments. Thank you.

Hmmm.. What makes you think it's for internal sounds only? You can turn pitch bend off for the external sounds if you want, but assuming you have it enabled, I don't see any reason to think it would send a different value from what you set for the internal sounds. That would be weird.

Because I tried it and it didn't work. I also can't tell where can I change the lever's MIDI CC for modulation.
But maybe I'm doing something wrong, that's why I came here to ask.

Can you explain in what respect it didn't work? That is, were your internal sound bending at a different interval than your external sounds, for the same amount of bend motion? Or were your external sounds not bending at all?

The MIDI CC for modulation is always CC01. What a device does when it sees CC01, though, is something you would define on the device. That is, if you want the mod wheel to introduce vibrato on one patch and filter sweep on another, that's determined by settings within the patches, not by redefining what the mod wheel sends. I don't have FA-specific knowledge here, but that's how it's worked on other boards.
