None of the Piano sounds did all that much for me by themselves until I tried your suggested Live Set 1518 Grand Piano 4 in a pop song and ... well, while it might not be my first choice for Rachmaninoff, it shines in the pop rock realm. Thanks for the tip! And, yes, that extra bit of desirable low end is useful.Keybdwizrd wrote:DJAY wrote: if you're looking for a preset with more low end, try Live Set 1518, "Grand Piano4." The Jupiter-50 I bought was a demo model from a store, so it is *possible* (but unlikely) that my presets were edited before the instrument arrived. In any case, I immediately found that the piano in 1518 was my favorite for playing pop and rock music.
Check out "Grand Piano4," and figure out how to tweak the equalizer settings (and other settings as well). I'd be surprised if you weren't able to craft a piano sound to your liking.

Re: Jupiter 50 Pianos
Since I last posted on this thread, I got rid of the SV-1 and bought a JP50! I also did the suggestion from Keybdwizrd on the "pop" piano! It works great. But overall I love the piano sounds on the JP50! And with a little tweaking (thanks again to Keybdwizrd!) to the Electric Piano sounds, I got them sounding much better too!
