Roland Jd800 aftertouch
Roland Jd800 aftertouch
Hi, I bought a Roland Jd800 which has a keyboard replacement and no aftertouch. Can I return aftertouch to the keyboard?
Re: Roland Jd800 aftertouch
Hi,
JD-800 aftertouch is notirious for needing very hard press on the keys to get it responding. There is a chap on YouTube who does the red glue repair and then a resistor modification to make the aftertouch much more sensitive meaning you don't have to get an elephant to stand on your keys to make aftertouch work.
I appreciate my response is a few years later, mostly responding for the benefit of others. This mod, which does involve opening the machine up, does apparently sort the aftertouch issue out.
Obviously you try this at your own risk.
Regards.
