After 3o years (many years non used), I've discovered that I should change an internal battery !!!
Yesterday I switched on the keyboard after six months and every patch was empty and "check internal battery" warning appeared.
Looking on You tube videos I've learnt how to change the CR-2032 battery.
Before replacing the battery, I'd like to know if, at this point, all my patches created in the past are lost or if it can be possible to backup them on a PC, though they don't appear on the display.
Thanks for your help
Freddy.
D50 - BATTERY DISCHARGED AND LOST PATCHES
Re: D50 - BATTERY DISCHARGED AND LOST PATCHES
Hi,
as long as all the names of the patches are still there and reading correct your patches should be intact. Save them to a computer or cartridge first and then replace the battery.
If all patches are empty there's NO way to restore them unless you've saved them to a computer or cartridge before... !
I suppose that you've already came across this little gem?:

Best thing is: it's free!!!
